An article on ESPN -- I think by Brian Windhorst -- says Kerr has decided to go with "hockey-line" 5-man substitutions.

Makes sense to me.

That said, even if it's true, he may feel politically constrained from making the best basketball choices.

Let's assume this is true, with one (starting) group including Curry, Lebron and Embiid. How to round that out?

Jrue and Tatum add a lot of defense and enough scoring to the first unit.

The second unit starts with AD, Bam and one of White/Haliburton (apparently White is bumping Hali down the depth chart). Edwards is there of course too.

KD of course gets a spot if he can go. Put him on the second unit or flip him with Tatum.

Booker and Haliburton are on deep pine, to be brought in when there are offensive lulls.

If the second unit closes a game, make room for Holiday as needed.

How does that sound?

It occurs to me that the guys I proposed benching, and the guys people are most disappointed in in general (those two and Embiid), are largely the ones with the least playoff success.

ANT is an exception.

They still have Bam but yeah if Joel and AD are out they will probably have to play JT at center. Or maybe Bron I guess.

I don't think I'll ever get used to the way Wemby bends the geometry of the basketball court. Today he had a play where he got stuck mid air so far underneath the basket he was probably behind the baseline but he just extended his arm and casually finger layed the ball in :lol:

Does anyone else think that FIBA would be better served, going to a 15-Man Team?
Injuries are bound to happen. And, it just seems to be the natural progression of the Game?
