If its Ayton it will have to be a 3 team trade...

Ayton ($34mil) and Nic Richards ($5mil) to NY

Deuce ($.4.7mil) and Mitch (14.3 mil) to Charlotte

Precious ($13.1mil) Grant Williams ($13 mil) WAS & DET 1sts + other salary filler like DW Toppin Brown

Blazers would be selling pretty damn low but also saving $20 mil and opening up playing time for their top pick Clingan

Hornets add a off ball 3 and D wing to pair with LaMelo in Deuce and go full Lob City with Lamelo and Mitch (and Bridges)

Knicks clean up the rotation and solidify the Center position

Ayton/Richards
Randle/OG
OG/Hart
Mikal/Donte
Brunson/Kolek/Payne

Still don't even think thats possible as we'd be over the second apron i think by a few mil but thats how we'd have to start manuvering to make an Ayton trade work without Randle involved...

Not possible as laid out. The Knicks would have to send out more salary than they take back if they sign and trade Precious and they don´t under this proposal.

We (the board) talked about this a couple of days ago. It seems technically feasible to do something like this (not including Richards - that's impossible in this scenario of Mitch and Precious being the big salary pieces) once one can package Bates-Diop and Payne, but only by converting several two-way contracts into rookie min-scale contracts. That seem like a stretch (no pun intended) for Thibs to swallow, even if you probably could give away Bates-Diop and Payne for draft rights to someone.

Which centre rotation is preferable, I suppose, is then a question.

Ayton-Hukporti-Skapintsev or Mitch-Precious-Jericho ?
