I want that 1rd!

I would only do this if I could immediately flip Rui and Gabe.

Not a lot of options for expiring contracts. Atlanta has Larry Nance Jr and they want to compete. Got no reason not to. That works for Vincent.

I would think there would be incentive to anyone trying to acquire Bruce to have him on the roster for training camp. You get him for the full year and fully integrate him into the team.

His value diminishes the longer we keep him, they need to get a deal done asap

The trade price will keep going down, the longer we keep him.

Not necessarily. Teams may be more reluctant to trade 1st round picks for next year right now in case a big name comes on the market and they need to package picks. At the deadline, the pick is more likely to move if nothing has manifested.

You can argue both sides.

I'm pretty okay with just letting him expire and trying our hand at some of the FA crop next year. I don't think he's netting us a '25 1st rounder.

If it's true that Brown has no trade value why the hell did Masai and Bobby pick up his team option this summer? Absolutely idiotic move when we could have used that salary to take on teams unwanted salary and draft picks to build toward a real future.

He's coming off a bad stretch with the Raps where he couldnt shoot and was apparently hurt. He put up positive value metrics 3 straight years before this season. I think his value goes up as he reverts to his mean of being a genuinely good player over the crap he put up in the 20ish games he had with us

Until brown is traded I think he's going to start so we remain sellers for him and get some value for him

In order for his stock to go back up, either he has to play as a starter or 6th man

His value is and has been the rotation piece a team that wants to compete looks to add cause championships also need dependable all around rotation players. That doesn't change whether its pre season or trade deadline. That's what's been said about him since all of last year. Some of you are so dramatic.

So what happens when we can't trade him, and people get pissed he's starting. Do we just buy him out?

Brown doesn’t fit the team structure going forward. He’s gotta go before the season starts or mid season deadline. Otherwise we’ll get nothing in return.

Nope. We give him a five-year max extension with player option in the final year. And then another extension after that. Brown is a Raptor for life.

In all honesty, probably just let him expire if no one trades for him, which, to me, is the most likely possibility. But I so hope I am wrong and I give everyone approval to make fun of me if I am.

lol at people saying they want that lakers first.

BB trade value is completely shot, the FO underestimated how much the 2nd apron stuff would impact the market.

Did they? Pretty sure they got two seconds and almost 7 mil of cap space for mcDaniels.
I believe in Masai.
