IMO You are one of the many Wolves fans who underrate Miller. What does he have to do to get any love/respect from Wolves fans?

I underrate him in what sense? He is a tools-y prospect who has an inconsistent and unconventional shot, he doesn't have many NBA skills outside of rebounding.

I will ask you this--where do you see him slotting into a good NBA Team?

He consistently scores and rebounds and defends OK. I see him as a PF primarily who can play SF or C in a pinch.

The problem here is this: We have Reid, Towns and McDaniels who all need to get minutes at the PF [Miller's ideal position]. Why does McDaniels need minutes at the 4? Because at the 2/3 we have guys like NAW, ANT, TSJ, Ingles [more of a 4 as well at this point in his career defensively]. I also think Minott is just clearly better than Miller at this point.

So it's hard for Miller to even get minutes, especially if we are chasing the #1 seed again [which I think we will be in the hunt for].

Miller didn’t move the needle much in my opinion. He looks like he did last year. Minott did display good man defense, and he did show some improvement in his passing. He rebounded well (but he already did that in previous summer leagues,) and he played a bit smarter. Overall, Minott is probably near his peak without minutes. With minutes he can try and adjust to NBA caliber players, and we will know if he is a rotation player or not.

Miller puts up good points, rebounds and shooting game after game. Good enough that I'm confident that he will be able to do the same in NBA games. I'm looking forward to seeing him do just that this year.

You very well could prove to be right (I certainly hope so) but I just don't see enough from Miller to be a legitimate part of an 8-9 man rotation, especially playing C.

It's just so hard to come to any concrete conclusions trying to project how a player's performance in the SL will extrapolate over to the NBA level.

I'm rooting for him and/or Minott to break through and give as much needed cheap depth.

He might have to elbow Rudy and/or KAT in the eye, forcing them to miss a month due to eye surgery.

Teams don't play 12-man rotations. Many of us do respect his ability, we just don't see a path to consistent playing time.

I would very much disagree with the bolded. You are correct he has lots of people ahead of him so despite his talent he will have trouble getting many minutes, but I think he will get some.

If that's the number of games they are airing, it works out to about 28 million dollars per game for 2 1/2 hours of TV.
For something that gets watched once per viewer.
It's total and complete insanity.

Amazon doesn't have anything to worry about since they print money with the shipping part of their business and their video business serves to draw customers into it.
But NBC and Disney are cooked.

The only media companies left in 10 years are going to be Amazon, Apple, and Google. Maybe 5.

It will be nice to get some more games back on over the air TV, that part might actually help the NBA's brand more than anything else. But 5 different places to watch games is ridiculous.
Just get rid of the blackout restrictions already and simulcast the live stuff on your streaming services.
With broadband internet and streaming availability nearly everywhere now, there is no reason for cable companies to even exist.

Monte does not offer anything that Tyus Jones and Grayson Allen can't do. I can see him occasion starting when two of Tyus/Grayson/Beal are injured, but he could have such opportunities here in MIN as well. I wonder if it is something between him and our coaching staff not playing him enough (according to his reactions).

I’m not sure anyone saw this, or even cares, but we got a pretty favorable grouping for the mid-season tournament:

West Group A: Timberwolves, Clippers, Kings, Rockets and Trail Blazers

As you recall, our record in these four games (on those weirdo floors!) will determine our seeding for the tournament.

If you are curious, the tough West was also split up ..

West Group B: Thunder, Suns, Lakers, Jazz and Spurs

West Group C: Nuggets, Mavericks, Pelicans, Warriors and Grizzlies
