Refereeing is awful.

Lack of a shot clock on the screen display is annoying

Are we? I mean I want Aussies to win, but thats just me. We seem to have few domestic fans from both teams tho.

Love him or hate him, but Giddey is playing like a natural leader out there for us (Aussies)

Bulls may very well have gotten the bargain recruit of the off season

It’s not often that you see Giddey start his rhythm and think “yeah that’s in”, but both those long 3s looked down before the ball left his hand

Release just seems smoother and quicker

If it holds in the NBA Chicago have gotten a steal.

Just saw reverse angle of the 3s, still not sure on the guide hand release, he still turns his thumb through on the shot, which can put a little extra side spin on the release

Never understood the hate the Giddy/Caruso deal got.
Giddy was a horrible fit in OKC, but he clearly showed he's extremely talented and while being a ceiling limiter, he is a big floor raiser.

Good fight back from Spain, basically, they bullied Australia in the 2nd and that led to a good number of free throws.

i do think Australia just needs to adjust a bit (take advantage of this Spain’s physicality and get free throws of their own) and i see them easily winning this one by double digits.

Question on Lorenzo Brown; is he the best naturalized prospect out there? He looks so average at this level. Why can’t a) Spain find/devleop a PG of say Rubio quality from their own backyard and/or b) get a better (younger too) naturalized replacement for Brown?!

Was one of the last believers, I thought Bulls won that trade (maybe both teams win, but Bulls moreso). Caruso is great, but he is like 30 and still role player, Giddey was 21 who had two very strong opening seasons, but was obviously completely miscased this post season.

He’ll get his stats in Chicago— no pressure to win at all and can lead their tanking charge.

the referees can't control themselves and have to help Spain in the decisive moments, the same story as the last 20 years, Gomez with 2 clear fouls that they simply reversed.

It was more of a need thing for OKC; Caruso has more value on both ends relative to what the Thunder were running.

Giddey couldn’t deliver as third/fourth option and that hurt the team.

I love it that point differential counts
Every team will fight every game to the end regardless of the score

That would be great. Sadly, I have never been in southern hemisphere, so you have snow or what? My place is 30 degrees C, but I have a freaking cold, half night I sleep sweaty under sheet, and half night I expose myself, since its so hot, thats how I got cold...

As said, I been only checking boxscore on this one, players of first half seemed to be nba bigs, Aldama vs Landale. Giddey cooking, Llull gave Spain the boost when they needed it.

Giddey with 15 points at the half

That’s one point for every candle on his girlfriends birthday cake.

Ugh, almost forgot this was the group of death. You are correct, these two teams could very well be among the 2-1 teams tied and point difference on this one could come into play.

Knowing that, adding some more on Australia -7.5 halftime to my AUS -4.5 pregame bet!

Australia is far better and more talented team but Spain has all-time level coach and all-time level savy winners in Lull and Fernandez. Even though they are down 7 points i wouldnt be surprised if they win this.
