You are not a pushover, i thought you got worse (relative to previous years) but at the very least you’re still competitive and should have a nice little run this tournament. Won’t medal i feel, but again, a team i will bet on to cover the spread. LOL

On the next game. Liking my Japan +18.5 bet, but if anyone can convince me the Germans are elite good might bet on them to punt my initial bet. LOL

13 three point attempts so far.

Okay wrong adjective but those made 3s made it close. LOL

Didnt meant to say you wrong, but to enforce the fact he was indeed jacking it. Aldama had super efficient game, almost jyst 3s and FTs on great shooting. Landale with 28 EFF, early contender for todays MVP.

Will be able to watch GER vs JAP, just boxscored this one. Germany imo probably the best team in here outside the US, but those were pre tournament vibes.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but Rudy in fact played 17 minutes, and became first basketball player ever to play in 6 different Olympics. Still remember 2004 games like it was recent events, refused to drink cappuccino for weeks after Italy upset us in a semifinal, that gold could have been ours...

Diana Taurasi should match that record in a few.

Good to see Spain lose. The Spanish basketball federation needs to wake up, instead of wasting their young talent year in and year out in EBA where teams practice three times a week, while their peers from other countries are getting regular minutes in pro leagues. Lorenzo Brown is a band aid that worked extremely well in 2022.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

Spain school is still good, just has a drought. We had interview with Lithuanian u18 star, Kasparas Jakucionis, formerly from Barca school, and he mentioned in Spain they had practices and games where you just not allowed to set screens, beat your man or pass the ball. Thats why he reached his level.

Its our Lithuanian idiots who prioritise "team ball fundamentals", which sounds good, but all our players literally can't dribble and had zero iso skills. The last guy we had who could iso at perimeter, was Siskauskas, and he wasn't even developed by our idiots, he started playing ball at 16 and was just wonder kind at that. Seriously, the main difference between us and Philippines is that we are taller, our school is an abomination.

I love this Olympics Basketball, so many countries getting good now, you see interesting players you'd normally never seen, play styles you wouldn't normally see, etc.
