How freaking short is that PG for Japan????

Both #2 and #5 look like they are 5'5 at best.

Togashi is 5'6''.

I now know what I would look like on an NBA broadcast (I'm 5'7'')

Wow, you are shorter than.me, thats rare for me, I am 5'9, in my place, I am short as hell.

My best guesstimate seems to confirm that 5'5 prediction. Seriously... i thought my screen was defective.

Doesn't matter, he's likely dropping 40 points on you.

Considering im nearing 40 and i had an " accident" where i cant run anymore... 40 is too modest.

Yeah, we Euros probably never see 5'5 dudes in general, let alone on pro basketball court. But they look good relatively, its apparent that they have hard time passing out sonetimes, they face far bigger and longer diffenders 100% of the time.
Euros always naturalize point guards, Asians naturalize bigmen (Hachinson, Blatche in the past...)

High scoring game, Japan is in it, even with Hachimura not playing that well.

BTW.. anyone knows why the halfcourt line looks like there are two dicks in it? Is this a continuation of whatever that was in the opening? I cringed for whatever they were thinking so stopped watching it.

You're talking about the images opposite of the 2 basketballs? Its the court outline.. has a 3pt, restricted area, etc. Its also on the court inside the 3pt line.

Also, idk how you see 2 dicks really..

Spain school is still good, just has a drought. We had interview with Lithuanian u18 star, Kasparas Jakucionis, formerly from Barca school, and he mentioned in Spain they had practices and games where you just not allowed to set screens, beat your man or pass the ball. Thats why he reached his level.

Its our Lithuanian idiots who prioritise "team ball fundamentals", which sounds good, but all our players literally can't dribble and had zero iso skills. The last guy we had who could iso at perimeter, was Siskauskas, and he wasn't even developed by our idiots, he started playing ball at 16 and was just wonder kind at that. Seriously, the main difference between us and Philippines is that we are taller, our school is an abomination.

Yes, Spain's youth development is great. The issue it that there is no way for their young talent to transition to the pros. Therefore, their whole advantage is lost because most of the young prospects end up in Spain-s 4th or 3rd league, which arent pro leagues so they dont play against real pros on a regular basis.

Last year spain faced france in the U19 final in an exciting and competitive game between two evenly matched teams. One year later France had 6 of those guys get drafted after getting another full year of pro experience. Meanwhile the Spanish dudes are still hanging around in the 3rd league.
So many people who attain the heights of power in this culture—celebrities, for instance—have to make a show of false humility and modesty, as if they got as far as they did by accident and not by ego or ambition.

I used to think Spain having a very strong league, ACB, was a big advantage, since guys like San Emeterio emerged kind off out of nowhere just playing ACB, Spain had that. Yes, Spain and Serbia are probably two most dominant euro nations at youth level still, but sometimes, best players just do not transition well to pros. Serbian system is probably the best now, because they have teams in Adriatic league that only bases themselves on playing guys under 22 years old.

P.S. Euro U18 starts today, Spain and Lithuania in same group, they were Finalists two years ago in U16.
