I have yet to come across a poster who I thought was better than me. With all due respect I'm HIM! 8-)

So you typically get deep into a debate and then lose at the end?

Qualities of a good poster imo are a sense of humor, ability to admit when your wrong, ability to communicate one’s points concisely without a wall of text, and ability to communicate about the actual issue rather than going after the straw man.
Also I would add the ability to reconcile that there is a difference between truths and opinion.

Love Clyde. Dukefan4Life, jbk1234, and Dominator83 are awesome too. This Board has a real solid group of OGs-now-mods.

Lol I can understand why you say that.
I don’t recall seeing a wall of text though. Mang’s posts are never attempting to blur truth and opinion.

It’s like hoops, there are different positions to play. Mang eg has elite hyena game, prob the GOAT RealGM hyena poster.

Then you’ve got your Smitty’s that are elite cap guys or whatever.

HotelVitale deserves more mentions.

Haven't seen Bad Gatorade post in a while, but I click on any post by them.

tsherkin and dhsilv do a lot of heavy lifting on the General Board and always up the quality of discussion by knowing what they're talking about.

I always love me some 70sfan.

Most of the mods are really smart bball people. Too many to mention.

This thread has now made me wonder what the top ten highest and1 posts on this site are. I just found the assfault one and it’s peak comedy.

Appreciate the shout-out :D

I sound more cliche, but everyone that contributes to keeping these boards fluid and keeps the discussions going. I'm lucky enough to be part of a team board that has some decent movement (Bulls) even if not what it used to be. Some teams boards i've checked out and....yikes. Little to no traffic on some teams boards. Here the traffic is awesome and its a total team effort.

K for three on the CA board is fantastic. Chuck on T&T board as well. Both deserve purple hearts for navigating thru those respective boards! As i always say regarding the T&T board......if RealGM posters were real GMs, the NBA would be boring AF because there would literally never be any trades. Posters overrate their own players/assets to no end. Not 1 specific fanbase either, all of them do that.

JustBuzzin plays the Skip bayless role perfectly and makes it fun & entertaining. I used to try and play that Skip-like gimmick, but people took me WAY too seriously  Its easier said than done to pull it off effectively!

Wisconsin is probably the most active state here! The vast majority of the boards for other sports are dead. But the Packers board and the Brewers board are always hoppin. Gotta love that
Fantasy Hoops/Football/Baseball fans..

For info on a forum that actually talks Fantasy sports and not spammed with soliciting leagues, PM me. The more the merrier !

I haven't payed a ton of attention to individual posters, but my experience has been that this forum is 70%-80% quality, with the occasional troll. I've genuinely appreciated the dialog on here and the impressive ability of many to keep new and lively topics flowing. This forum is consistently a fantastic break from day to day monotony. Thank you :)

There's been a lot of great posters over the years.

I think it's more interesting to focus solely on the last year. I'd give the 23-24 MVP award to cupcakesnake

A Most Valuable Poster award with legit nominations would be entertaining off-season stuff imo

Its not about me.

In his time as a mod of the GB, he would routinely let certain fans of teams crap all over another team and their fans, but the second that team decided to defend themselves or say the person was wrong, etc he would come in and ban them from the GB.

Obviously time, people and everything has changed since then so maybe he's better now but tons of people didn't really like him back then.

In addition to a couple of posters already mentioned in the thread, I nominate Prerak as to strictly basketball topics, regardless of what happened to him later. But IMHO the best poster overall is Harry Palmer, even though he's not as active anymore as he used to be. Basketball knowledge + knowledge in other topics + style and class + excellent perfomance of his mod duties (instead of abusing mod privileges a la tsherkin): it's pretty much the perfect combo. It's a pity though that recently I've seen his posts looking like he adheres to some extent to the distorted Russian/Soviet vision of history. But hey, nobody's perfect.
