Wasn't Yurtseven amazing in the summer league as well before riding the bench all year? I do think Ware is a better player but in year one, i don't wanna get my hopes up so high just to get disappointed, lol. Bigs usually take time.

Yurtseven did well in Miami, his rate of stats (per36) was fine and it showed he was able to produce when on the court. I'd be good with him as a #2 or #3 near the minimum. You have to some production from very cheap players, to me it seems he'd been fine to save money with.

Yurt saved part of that season...as I remember it, if he was not hurt all the time he had potential to impact the team in a positive way.

Spoelstra destroyed this guy after keeping us afloat during a big part of the season, never to play him again.

Or it might just be another case of Miami role players struggling elsewhere because of the change of system and coaching. The guy was undrafted, so it's not crazy for him to fall off especially when he's no longer somewhere that caters to his strengths as well.

It came down to lack of playing time once bam got healthy and Spo doing that benching thing that he does with guys on a hot streak. Kind of sucks because the guy was looking like a legit big who can stretch the floor for a solid minute there

You think spo benches guys BECAUSE they're on a hot streak? No man, the team got healthy and Yurt is a very flawed center. Slow feet, average length for his size, and medicore reaction time on defense. You have to cater the team to make up for his flaws a lot differently than with Bam. Idk how you can blame the one coach he's thrived with for him sucking after. It makes no sense.

No, you're wrong. Spo benched him so hard that his ass fused to the Utah bench. It's the only explanation that makes sense.

Utah managed to pry it free to waive him though.
