When in a group of death, I'll always take the 1st game W to start off on the right foot. More important to do that in a group of death.

We need Edey man. Should have suited up and played for his country. Can’t take it for granted that Team Canada basketball will always be in the Olympics.

Greece #5 who was being a child all game bumped into cousin NAW after the final whistle.
Figured he was still freshly salty from getting his **** stuffed, flipped, and dunked on by RJ on the final play.

There are no easy games in international play anymore, as seen with South Sudan VS USA. Those days are gone; it aint the 1990s.

overall it's to be expected given we have a number of guys who just can't defend. brooks got into trouble because he was tasked with defending giannis which is impossible to do cleanly as he is a goat level foul drawer
I’m mainly talking about the insane number of touch fouls. Need to learn for the next game.

It's obvious we still need Murray playing well to challenge for the gold/silver, especially when SGA is doubled/tripled.

Jordi's got the look of a guy who just found out he's coaching Killian Hayes next season.

We need to stop with the dumb fouls
Jamal looks cooked. Perhaps it’s best we limit his minutes or don’t play him altogether
I don't think he's cooked but he was dealing with a calf injury back in the playoffs. Probably trying to not put too much stress on him. Slowly ramp him up.
Slowly ramp up isn't ideal in a tournament like this where you don't have that benefit. Everyone else is playing at playoff intensity.

A much needed win.
We really need to improve on making more open shots and staying out of foul trouble. We actually did pretty good on being physical and helping out on rebounding.

Hopefully some of the bench guys raise their intensity level to match the starters. Murray, Nembhard, Lyles played with the intensity of a celebrity game.

He chose Summer League, got injured and missed most of it. What a waste.

Re: Team Canada Basketball Thread V4.0
Man Edey would have been such a valuable piece, even with his inexperience. Monster on the glass, screens for SGA/Murray and post-game element they don't have right now. The FIBA rules help him too, no 3 second rule, more physicality and slapping the ball off the rim.
Bad decision to opt for summer league IMO, though I'm sure the Grizzlies strongly influenced his decision.

And then there’s Olynyk who just sucks, period.
The bench shouldn’t be a weakness for this team.

Great W. Really good perimeter defense. At this point, I'm not expecting much from Murray. I just hope that he puts the ego aside and doesn't shoot us out of a big game if he's struggling. I'm worried he's going to do to us what he did to Denver in the playoffs.
