I dont think Franz has missed any of his eurostep drives... nd thats beung guarded by Rui, Yuta and their 7fter C.

All his misses are from 3s

Franz cooked today. ESPN has him as the #10 player in the Olympics.

Didn’t realized that Germany played. I would have watched! Good job Franz and Moe.

All of Franz's 3's are just flat. No arc. Regardless of how much shooting we add, both Paolo and Franz are going to have to be somewhat decent from 3 for our team to have any chance of taking a leap.

^Hopefully he has time after the Olympics to work on it and get it somewhat fixed.

Good to see Germany take care of business and the Wagner boys balling out.

So Giddey is an interesting player.

He’s such a bad and unwilling shooter from distance that he doesn’t seem like he’s going to be able to have much success whatsoever unless he’s on the basketball.

But I wonder if he is good enough to be on basketball full-time for a team that’s actually good?

Like if Giddey is on a team that’s bad and it doesn’t matter? Then sure, he’s gonna put up like 17-8-8 and maybe more than that. But at some point it becomes a bit like Westbrook once Durant and George both left. A lot of raw stats, but minimal success.

Black showed enough last year as a rookie to make me confident that even if he doesn’t develop into a guy that can be on the ball full time, that he can still contribute as a role player.

It kind of feels like it’s “starting on ball player or nothing” for Giddey. I’m sure he’s going to put up good raw numbers this year for Chicago which will earn him a new contract, but I don’t think they’re going to win much if he’s one of their primary on ball guys.

Arc or no arc, it just has to go in.

But yes, Franz has to shoot better from 3 then he did this past season. We all agree on that.

This may be the worst roster Spain has sent to a major international competition in the last 20 years.

Franz looked to be the worst 3pt shooter on their team. And they had Theis who made 2-2 from 3. Lol

We neef Franz to get back his range. At least he isnt shy ajout letting it fly

Jokic abusing Embiid is amusing. Coward didn't even pick his country to represent.

And the US still cooked them in the end. The only hope for any other team (and that's the decent ones, only) is that they get hot from 3 and the US goes really cold during a game in the knockout stage.

I think the 40% refers to the build up games. Let's see if the 1-7 is a blip. On that note, how annoying are the Olympic App boxscores, no 3p fgm/fga

Ah.. I see. Although TBH, I expected it to be lower cuz I don't think he shot it that well in the exhibitions as well.
