Guys what if told you, getting one DNP, on a team with KD, Bron, AD, Bam, Stepth and several others... is OK.

What is not that ok, is starting a game and finising with -8 where you the only guy on a team with minus in a game your team won by 26, and you so bitc*y, you commit flagrant just do you wouldn't play anymore. Thats not that ok.

Has anyone thought that perhaps next game Durant might be a DNP to rest up, and that this game was a warmup for him?

Just saying.

What happened to Jokic's 3pt shot? The season he won the championship, he looked like he was hitting every 3 he took.

I think he just needs to keep the rotation at a reasonable cap so everyone that plays has enough minutes to get in a rhythm.

Thinking two people, and not always Tatum, are gonna sit each game. Hali probably will always be one of the two.

Ya i think both of them will get minutes against South Sudan and Puerto Rico, but in the medal games against Germany/France/Canada or whoever, i think those 2 sit and even embiid has his minutes capped (he also looks like a poor fit for this team that wants pace/space and attack on defense and force TO's)

There’s some hope for Embiid: i think he matches up well with the Canada bigs so he’s going to be used more there. Then also vs France, if they go big-big majority of the time then it’s a necessity.

Tatum, not sure but obviously all about matchups.

I wonder who that is? Mystery of the century.

Ok, fine... thats me, all you Jonas haters need to be banned!!!

It should be kept a secret with a caveat: bisme should run a poll on which poster we think it is. Bisme will not confirm if we’re correct or not.

It just has never happened before whereas a tier 1 player has gotten a dnp in a recent Olympic game. It’s been since like 1988

Solid game by USA. France poses much tougher matchups than Serbia though.

Feels like he's shot it less every year. I no longer expect it to go in when he takes it.

Jokic played 30 minutes, and in those 30 minutes, Serbia played USA EVEN. In the 10 minutes without Jokic on the court, Serbia got outscored by 26 points.

Jokic is a bad boy and played well, but he can't play every minute of every game and USA is just too deep and talented.

Now do Embiid against Jokic the last 3 times they played in the NBA.

Embiid was lucky he was traded by Cameroon to France and by France to USA.

I can’t imagine if SGA went on the record and said “I’d rather play for Canada but the US has a better chance of winning and I want to win”.

Embiid could have talked Siakam into playing and they would have made the Olympics. He had a great chance of changing his narrative, but here we are.

KD was on a roll, you play him when he is THAT hot. Next game someone else might sit up, its fine.

He played great today.

He was 1 of 6 from three with 4 turnovers. He had 4 turnovers and didn't dominate the basketball.

I dont think anything happened. Today he took some really tough last second shots. He still hit a tough one.

Oh... ok, sorry guys. That system makes sense, i thought it was complete random. That is way better

That said, i do not think USA should care who they draw anyway, but ok, there is a reason why they would care about plus minus.

Nobody is protected from random draw. There will be 4 pots
The best 2 first placed teams are in pot 1
The other first placed team and the best 2nd placed team in pot 2
The other second placed teams are in pot 3
3rd placed teams are in pot 4

With how strong group A is, playing a 3rd placed team is not necessarily a good thing, but it's worth a shot to go against the other 3rd placed team.

For Team USA it is important the 3rd team in their group doesn't get through, otherwise they are guaranteed to play to other 3rd placed team.

But load managing him is more important, US needs him more in the QF round and NOT vs PR or SS— i think he sees minimal minutes and hey, the Tatums and Halis also want to prove they can deliver the numbers so i think the latter two will get theirs.

And had 20 points (8-15 FGs), 5 rebounds and 8 assists and was a net neutral in a game his team lost by 26.
