No way he would have signed for the same price with us.

Why not. Are the chances to get a ring with Phoenix better then in OKC?

Tyus is a good player but I think our current weakness is more about self creation than creation for others. Think it'd be a hard sell for him considering that not only would his role be from the bench but he'd also be competing against a pretty full guard rotation with AC/Cason/Joe all likely to log minutes at backup PG.

He didn't sign to chase a ring. He signed to chase a contract. He'll have a much bigger role and will have the opportunity to get a bigger payday next off-season. Even if we assume Presti offered him a contract, which is counter to everything we know about Presti, Tyus bet about $4M, the max OKC could give him over what Phoenix did, that he could get more money next off-season. So if Tyus balls out and gets a 3yr/$45M contract next off-season he won the bet. If he ends up signing for less than $9M next off-season then the theoretical contract Presti could have offered would be more. Getting upset because Tyus took a deal on the table over some hypothetical offer Presti could have made makes no sense.

If you can present evidence that Presti offered him the room MLE then my opinion might change, but if I were Tyus I would have taken that contract over the room MLE for OKC and bet on getting a bigger future contract instead of fighting for playing time with the overloaded number of guards OKC has. Tyus' only chance for decent playing time, as far as improving his future earnings, would have been if OKC traded him at a future date aggregating his salary for a bigger contract.

Minutes and role.
He would have higher minutes and role with suns than us.

Ignore the talk about a contender, for a player getting the minimum , getting to the playoff and showing he belong on someone rotation is enough.

Ok, I can accept both...Kizz and Devilanches arguments.

But I'm a little bit concerned what Presti will do with our open roster spot. Don't forget that Topic is out for the season, so we have only 13 fix players on the roster. Last season we were lucky with injuries, but that is no guarantee that this will be the case next season too. Hopefully this scenario will not be a subject in the near future.

I get going from Atlanta to OKC. But Minnesota dragged me through the ice and snow for 20 years, teased me with Rubio/Love 10 years ago and finally are at the top [for now].

Maybe in a few more years once ANT leaves

I've been an ATL fan since 2018 when they traded for Trae. But, last year I put them on notice that they weren't doing enough to keep me as a fan and they needed to step up if they wanted my affection. I've been a huge Chet fan since his freshman year at Gonzaga so I decided to give OKC a shot while I waited for ATL to court me. By December of last season I had pretty much given up on ATL and switched full time to OKC. Ended up watching about 60 OKC games and all their playoff games.

I still root for ATL in the East, but definitely prefer OKC overall as of now.

The real question would've been what would I do if ATL traded Trae to SAS. That would've put me in a tough spot lol.

I lived in MN, so I'm a Wolves fan too. Hoping for OKC/MIN WCF every year and last year we were so close to getting that.

No shame in rooting for multiple teams but we only get one logo to put up hahaha

Read on Twitter

I love Kenrich but this season could be special. If he isn't going to be the Kenrich of old, we need to move on. The stakes are too high.

Kind of an odd injury. Is this a follow up procedure to a previous one and the wound became infected?

Spoiler:
Debridement is a procedure for treating a wound in the skin. It involves thoroughly cleaning the wound and removing all hyperkeratotic (thickened skin or callus), infected, and nonviable (necrotic or dead) tissue, foreign debris, and residual material from dressings.

Me too. Debridement [as you posted, it's clean up of various loose debris, it can be a lot of things] is not worrying to me, I'd say he'll be ready to go in the early weeks of the season, if not already when it begins.

We do need Kenrich to play better overall, I think he could be a trade candidate if OKC is making a bigger swing with the salary we can move. On the other hand, I do think it is reasonable to keep him on the roster long term because he expressed interest in staying with our franchise and signed with us, I'd like to keep guys on the team that want to be here.

He had the lowest PPG and Attemps-pergame [in his Thunder career] by a fair margin last season. All of his stats took a hit, lower rebounding, lower assists -- even if his per-36 indications were pretty similar, the minutes hard-capped him to a lower aggregate season.

So the stats kind of say he's about the same track if given more chances, but I thought via eye-test he wasn't as imposing as an offensive player. Giddey's departure means we will need to fit him in more, and I expect more usage this year. Hoping he gets his 3-pt attempts to 2.5, because at nearly .40%, that's ~1 make a game and I'd love to see that.

Its an easy group of players to root for and Presti has been a solid GM over the years. Their young guys want it bad, Chet has a lot of fight in him, J dub and Shai play with a chip on their shoulder. I've been watching them since the start and I hope Presti stays for a long time and wins one with the team. Always stoked when the team gets more fans out there
