This is the one guy I believe could have been better than Jordan and we’ll never know. When a guy can dominate like that, scoring rebounding and defending? Wilt is criminally underrated.

If speaking strictly best player, he’s definitely my 2.

Jordan’s still my 1 simply because of how insane his offense and scoring skills were. Like Wilt, he had a big impact on both sides of the court. Either way, Wilt is a great number 1.
:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

Plus the retirement/resting during the times of those 24.

Resting?

Are you not aware of how many 82 game seasons Jordan played?

Is LeBron using the Olympics to get the GOAT stamp?

Post#328 » by dirkdiggler4177 » Sun Jul 28, 2024 11:11 pm

LeBron is playing point guard and really running this team. It is almost like it is an all-star game and the team has already decided that the home kid is getting the MVP. He could easily stayed at home considering he got the gold and is 39. But instead, he shows up with a Kobe during the Olympics energy.

So is LeBron using the Olympics to get the GOAT stamp?

Now, if you beat teams before needing to go into a game 5, 6 or 7 in a series, you're "guilty" of resting for the next series... lol

The Olympics are a legacy tour for Curry, Durant, James and to a lesser extent Steve Kerr. It has nothing to do with GOAT conversation.

Doesn't matter at this point

There's nothing he can do to become to goat

Too many black marks and his game doesn't reflect that of a goat level player

I mean this in the most respectful way possible...

Did you just start watching basketball yesterday?

Seriously bro this is borderline disrespectful asking if LeBron needs the Olympics to be the GOAT. As if the last 21 years haven't been enough convincing. Cmon this man is on record saying he feels he is the GOAT.

He's the best of his generation. In the end that's all he can be. He couldn't compete against Jordan, Magic, Bird, Chamberlin, Kareem, or Russell. He could only compete against his contemporaries.

People should be grateful to see Lebron, Curry, and Durant on the same team and playing to win. It would have been great to see them play against Jordan and Pippen (who probably would have guarded Lebron), but that's not how it works. Enjoy these guys for what they are and the time they are playing in.

Could already imagine the topics had he not shown up “is Lebron afraid for his legacy in case of an Olympics loss?”

Or the topics if he just took on a small role “is Lebron setting up someone else to take the blame if they lose!?!?”
