I don't really think Diabate is promising. Seems more like a Thor replacement than anything. Played in 33 career games and averages 2pts.

doesn't shoot 3s. not sure why we'd sign another big who can't shoot...
was 1-for-8 in 19 gleague games last year, took 0 3s in summer league

unless this is just a mentor move for salaun, a guy to help his transition to the language and culture. if thats the reasoning, then i'm fine with it. otherwise, i'd much prefer mo

Maybe, but he's only 22 himself (just like 6 months older than Thor) and he's never been a part of an NBA rotation. Strange choice to mentor a top 10 pick.

Primarily a small 5, good length, high motor, decent rebounder, can't hit his FT's. Feels like a warm body hire.

Perfectly calm here. Again, warm body hire. Hard to get too excited up or down about it.

mentor in the sense that diabate has been in usa since he was 14. he can help translate for salaun, help him understand us culture. but also, not so much older that they can't relate to each other.

Still sucks…why this new regime seems to imitate some of the worst behaviors of the old one must be influence from Clifford the dog and Mitch Upchuck. Orlando Robinson was out there for a couple of weeks, much better young true center. He probably didn’t want to be here verses the Kings, who signed him a few days ago.

Yes a minor move, but coupled with some other odd minor ones, seems strange.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I agree. Seems smart to get TJ a pal, guide.

Just watching a small snippet of his college tape and he can stroke the 3 ball, it maybe a small sample but he's proved the form is there. Hopefully Lee can get more out of him and put pressure on Richards.

Played 15 minutes last night and continued to look competent. I'm very glad to have him as big depth, nice work by the FO to sign him this summer.

If he keeps playing this well Jeff Peterson needs to give him a regular NBA contract.
