Would love to see us vs France. Wemby might be the best player for this type of competition. Giannis like Jokic doesn't seem to have much help. In the end I think Canada will likely be USA biggest threat imo.

Opposing teams have to pray US has an off day and even still would have to have a perfect day from their own guys just to have a semblance of a chance. I think any of them can get a run in on the first starting minutes against the 5 starters, but once the bench comes in its a different story as they analyzed what they could do and start going to work, all while the us starters start picking them apart in the later quarters.

I thought USA was sloppy against Serbia and they still devastated them near the end to the point of Serbia chucking 3's cause they had no hope inside. France's backcourt is a major weakness and Canada is the most well-rounded opponent but man for man, US clears and still probably overwhelms them as they can just find different ways to win.

Haliburton played good in the first two or three practice games. He had one of the highest +/- at that point. He even made some defensive plays. When White arrived he got Hali's minutes. Hali's still the best passer on the team. I think he could help.

I doubt there will be any complaining from him, I think he's happy to be there. Still has been one of the biggest cheerleaders from the bench. I'd like him to get some playing time, but I care more about the Pacer season than the Olympics. He can't get hurt if he don't play, so there's that.

I don't get the Embiid thing, he's been one of the worst players by far. Why does he get a free pass?

The no overthinking bets— if they are good enough to win, they are good enough to cover. With all teams thinking position and point differential, there’ll be no let up for the winning teams:

Greece -3.5 vs Spain
Greece-Spain Under 162.5
Canada -5.5 vs Australia
Canada-Australia Over 179.5
France -17.5 vs Japan
France-Japan Under 164.5

Let’s go *teams* LOL

Canada vs Australia will be a good game. Canada has the guard play to give us trouble, but not sold on their front line.

Right now I would see Germany on a similar level to Canada threat wise because they are well coached by Herbert, have a lot of familiarity with one another and their NBA guys set the tone and perform well on a FIBA level, allowing their other players to benefit from this.

This wouldn't be as much of an issue if our coaching staff was better at adapting to the opposing team's strategy, but that always appears to be an issue.

Hernangomez with a filthy poster on Giannis. Also Spains jersey looks like the Lakers.

Yea once Llull and Fernandez retire they will finally be done after a 25 year run of dominance/relevance. Pretty amazing for sure.
They'll still continue to play well at the youth competitions though.

The first team that stops hitting their shots will be blown out of the building.

Giannis might be the worst 2 time NBA MVP in the history of basketball. Utter muppet when he cannot bulldoze his way to the basket.

It's the NBA MVP, not the MVP of basketball. That said, it's a pity he was never able to develop a jump shot. Greece does look pretty terrible though. His team is significantly better than what prime Nowitzki had to play with for Germany, but still not very good.
