I wouldn't be so sure of that. Brazil has some good players and I think it's highly unlikely that Japan shoots like that again. I don't have the numbers, but it felt like their jumpers never missed.

We always knew FIBA refs lacked quality. They cant even use the high ranked Euro ones, and theres only limited number of refs who are very high regarded, most locked by EL.
I was curious about this. I thought I remembered you saying something about the Olympics not using certain refs. Is it EuroLeague refs that aren't being used for the Olympics? If so, why is that?
Considering the amount of contact they're allowing, particularly off-ball (even when it's right in front of a ref), I think there have been relatively few fouls called. It's a lot of pushing, grabbing and holding going on. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
My one gripe with these Olympics so far is the commercials. There doesn't appear to be any "official," timeouts, so you miss the beginning of every quarter. I can live with the excessively long half-time as long as they continue letting the play go interrupted for the most part, but the beginning of the quarter commercial would be much better if they kept the game playing in a small window like American sports have started doing occasionally.
