Anytime I see the name Tellem, I worry. It just seems like a curse.

Eric Tellem obviously did a super duper fantastic job with managing operations of the Raptors 905 G-league team to earn the promotion to Director of Player Personnel of the Pistons in 2016! And look at what an amazing job we have done with player personnel from 2016 to 2024! The promotion to VP is much deserved!

The fact that Langdon had to sign off on this tells you all you need to know about who actually pulls the strings. This is only a step below the Sirvydis stuff...

Bringing back anybody from the awful regimes of the last 15 years is a headscratcher and needless to say a Tellem getting promoted means you know who is still very much involved in the executive decision process.

Maybe these are minor moves in the long run but the optics stink, as per usual with the Gores owned Pistons.

Indeed. I know Jazz fans don't like him but one has to realize a team that makes the second round would be the best Pistons team in a generation. Hell, a team that wins a single playoff game would be that.
