I call that "Eric Bledsoe" syndrome.
Do you guys remember what Brook's nickname was in here for like 10 years after we drafted BOA Alexander 2 picks before him? Everyone called him Wilt lol.. I think we passed on him because we already had bigs so it wasn't a position of need

Former #1 Andrew Bogut was the C & they bet on him developing. Problem was he had a career altering injury. Was looking like the best center in the NBA for a stretch before it happened.
Turns out he's also a dbag off the court, so whatever.

Twin Towers was a legit strategy back then. Either one of them could stay with 4s the way they used to move and how they were built -- small ball wasn't the effective go to yet. The other problem is we were pretty high on Charlie V as our 2nd tower, so we went for the need position and left all that talent for the Nets.

That was a result of me sparring with Europa and Paul Cousins I think over passing on Brook in 2008.I think Paul started calling him that to shut me up.
That pick killed me. On the other hand, having him come to Milwaukee and help the team to a title a decade later? Perfection.

Lol great insight. I wanted Brook on draft day. But before the season there was a picture of Joe Alexander touching his head on the rim or something that had me hard but then once basketball started he only went hard for cheerleaders from what I remember hahahaa.. Once Brook was walking double/double almost immediately, I was pissed we missed out on him right with you.
