THIS.

I need this and I need it yesterday. Absolutely the exact lineup I was thinking earlier. Let AD, Lebron, Book, Ant, and Steph start for all I care. This is the 5-man group that needs to play together off the bench moving forward.

How many basketballs does that unit get? :D

And you didn't even mention Embiid. ;)

But yeah -- 3 Celtics, Durant and Bam would be a dominating lineup.

All the more if Spo coaches their side for intersquad scrimmages. :D

By the way -- it's amazing how spindly the legs of the Sudanese players look. It's not just the Bol family; it's all of them.

Guess you were not watching the 2 games Team USA played.

Lebron is great.

But Steph has been a defensive liability for the 2 games that he played in.

Also, if it's only Celtic fans that are mad then maybe you're right, it's just the Celtic fans.

Or maybe you're just selective on what you watch or read.

It's a fact that the mainstream media and guys like Matt Barnes also said it was wrong to bench Tatum.

Matt Barnes never played for the Celtics.

There are more former players and media personalities that said Kerr made a mistake by benching Tatum.

Last I checked, Legler had Dallas beating the Cs in the 2024 finals.

Before the Cs won the chip this year, there were who didn't believe nice guys could win a championship.

JT proved them wrong.

Nice guys can win a championship after all!

I prefer a true pro like JT than bad boys like Miles Bridges or Ja Morant.

Do we really want a gun toting superstar or someone who beats women?

Point taken, though I would suggest that there HAS to be a middle ground in there somewhere between being a "nice guy" and toting guns or beating women.

Tim Duncan, the epitome of niceguyness, won 5 rings. Bill Russell, upstanding citizen, won 11. Of course "nice guys" can win. This notion that you have to be a bully or bad ass on the court or loud or ultra-aggressive is kinda dumb tbh. Not every player is created the same. Let them be who they genuinely are, are comfortable being, and don't fit them in a neat box in your head for them to succeed.

The whole "aura" talk past few months really bummed me out. It's a ton of nonsense. Derrick White is the most aura-less player in the NBA, whatever that means, and he might be my favorite. I'd rock with a team with five Derrick Whites on it.

True.

Totally agree with you on that.

I'm optimistic because JT is still 26 years old.

He's far from a finished product.

So I learned something today about the rosters for 3x3 basketball. Players must earn points during sanctioned events in order to compete on the Olympics. Simply naming players to a team and qualifying isn’t a thing like it is in 5x5. It’d take more long term planning for USA to field better teams going forward for this. The game is fast paced, exciting, and quick so I hope they do but I’m not terribly hopeful.

First of all, I truly hope the US wins the gold.
Second, let Labron, Durant and Curry have their flowers this time around, it will be the last time they are the headliners of team USA. Third, I hope Tatum, Holiday and White all avg less than 8 minutes per game all the way through to the gold. It would be less wear and tear on their bodies, especially after playing through to the finals, and WINNING IT ALL !!!!!!

I checked some old pictures of Loul Deng. It's partially true of him too, especially below the knee.

Before the game against South Sudan, I said Lebron and Curry shouldn't be on this team. This isn't 2018.
You all saw it. Curry was horrible, shooting 1-9 and played no defense. Lebron sucked and had 6 TOs and played 0 defense.

Bam and White were the best players.

I'm actually happy he isn't playing them. They'll be a bit more rested next season, plus less risk of injury. Not to mention the larger chips on their shoulders.

Lol. We are talking about being too nice in the court, not outside. We need him to progress into a dog this season, and not be some puppy dog that everybody likes and buddy buddy with everyone.

Wth does it mean too nice on the court
Should Tatum be trying to injure people every minute he's on the court like Embiid
