2024 RealGM Fantasy Football thread and sign up.

Punts inside the 20 (PT20) = 1 point
Punts inside the 10 (PT10) = 2 points
Fair Catches (PTFC) = 1 point
Touchbacks (PTTB) = -1 point

I have never seen any type of league, even custom leagues that have ever had these types of settings. You could add those settings to a league where the defense could get these few extra points added. I just can't imagine experienced fantasy players wanting to create an extra position to a roster for the sake of the punter. Its really not worth it when you think about it.

actually from what i remember of my days playing fantasy football, people were so passionate about it they really couldn't get enough fantasy action and many would probably jump at the opportunity digging into the nuances of the different punters and who might be the best, etc.

but i suppose casual fantasy players who don't really watch the games, auto draft their fantasy teams and just look at the box scores to see how many touchdowns mahomes threw this week, wouldn't really be interested in punters

Next time I set up my next league in Yahoo I will look to see if they give us that option. I'm not oppose to a setting change like that at all, although I would just make the punter part of the defense/special teams (which they are) and give the few extra points that way.

Looks to me like you’re trying to manipulate the rules. Do you have a reason for your proposal?

Just trying to help out. You forgot I run 5 of my own cash leagues every year. 90% of them having been coming back and playing for 4 years running now.
PS. For some strange reason, having 2 divisions makes it more fun, engaging and competitive down to the end. But that is a suggestion.

Interesting. I only play in a few Standard ESPN leagues as practice early in the year. Standard leagues don't have punters in their settings. I was unaware they had that option in their custom league. Never played in an ESPN custom league unless the one Jack has set up for us realgm junkies is one. I would have to ask him if he has that option as commish. The five custom leagues I set up every year as commish in yahoo doesn't even give me that option.

Good luck this season guys! Just FYI so you can find a replacement for my spot. i don't want a repeat of last season when i tried ESPN and had over 12+ FREE leagues and another 4 on Yahoo.

i am limiting myself to four NFL leagues this year, and all should be buy-in ones-- just too much stressing on free leagues (initially, the idea is to just not take those leagues seriously, but that's only a plan, i always took them too seriously anyway LOL (like RealGM's league). If you are turning this to a buy-in one, please reserve me a slot if there are still available ones.

No, i can't join Yahoo money leagues. What we do here is use the free customized ones and just pay each other offline and not using Yahoo's system. Been wanting to play DFS and paid fantasy in Yahoo for years, but no luck so forced to settle this way (and other sites that will accept our money. LOL)

Interesting. I've never thought about that. Though sometimes with things like this it is better to just pick punters on bad teams because they have to punt a lot.

I am sure they have the option, at least in espn. I have all sorts of different options in a league I run. It's only 8 teams but the rosters are very deep and have players on both sides of the ball.

Correction hermes. ESPN does give the punter option in custom leagues. Yahoo doesn't.
