The booing is the French in the crowd because he took a French passport and they thought he was going to play for them, only to get US citizenship and a passport like a couple months later.

They've basically given him Ben Simmons in Philly crowd treatment any time he touches the ball as a result.

I feel like for 2028, they should have a rule, where if the winner of "the group of death", goes 3-0, they can be no lower than a 2nd seed, regardless of their point differential

Sure, but he's playing up to it and egging the crowd on, there were some cheers when he cupped his hand to his ear. Simmons is docile and cowers, Embiid is playing the heel villain role.
