Relative to how they’ve done against expected point spreads, probably one of the most surprising teams ever.

+/- for this game? FIBA has them: https://www.fiba.basketball/en/events/mens-olympic-basketball-tournament-paris-2024/games/117654-SRB-SSD#boxscore

Appreciate it. Didnt think to check their site. I don’t see total +/- for the stage/ tournament though. I think I heard Book was the leader for US.

Likeable? I disagree. They play borderline dirty

Ok so the top 4 should be USA, Canada, Serbia and Germany

I truly think this is one of the most aesthetically pleasing in-game dunks ever. It's perfect. You get a unique feeling watching it like a Jordan or VC dunk. Love it

So, us vs Canada in the semis, that is unfortunate. I think everyone would have preferred this to be the final. Matchup wise for US a semifinal against Serbia was ideal. I think Canada and Germany are the only threats for this team

US
Germany

Canada

Serbia

Canada obviously has the talent but seems like they’re getting used to each other and the fiba game. That’s how I rank them as of rn

I am sorry Jalen Brown fans, but Derrick White was such a good pick. The team has too many #1A and #1B players that the overall team play diminishes due to star players not adapting to being role players. Fence I will die on - this team would be better with Josh Hart than Steph Curry for this exact reason.

They seriously need to go back to the "two groups of 6 teams each" system. This is the international tournament with the best talent in the world and we are missing so many interesting match-ups.

The draw worked out well. 1/4 on one side and 2/3 on the other.

USA vs. Brazil
Serbia vs. Australia is one bracket

Canada vs. France
Germany vs. Greece is the other bracket

He was no doubt a great pick and fit.
I think Browns beef was more in general that he should be on the team.

No disrespect to Puerto Rico but it's a major failure for the US to win by less than 40 against them. They are drawing from a population of a few mil and have 1 nba player. Team USA's chemistry is rough, we are getting by on talent + LeBron/KD/Ant being so damn good. We could legitimately lose to Germany or Canada.

Speaking of Ant, that guy is the future of the league.

So basically the only medal contender team USA will have faced until the gold medal game will be Serbia, twice. A bit lame if you ask me.
