Germany can 100% beat this American team. It’s a well rounded roster and quite frankly Franz is mvp of the tournament thus far.

Kobe past was questionable and he was literally the most popular Olympic player of our generation.

Embiid is not doing anything questionable off the court. He's just taunting the crowd back.
There's no need for me to name anyone else. Taunting is just poor sportsmanship. There's zero excuse for it. Period.

So it's fine for us fans to taunt and yell at players, but when they do it back it's bad sportsmanship.

Cmon man sports is entertainment! Taunting and trash talk has been part of basketball forever.
No, it's not. Don't be an ass, it's not that difficult.

Writing a letter to the President of France begging for citizenship in exchange for him playing only to turn around and play for a powerhouse in direct competition to them.

France tripped over themselves to get Embiid a passport. And he's not even French. Has not even lived in France and now they are upset that he decided to play for a country that he is an actual citizen of. That's just crazy on Embiid's part, right. France should be ashamed that they went to such lengths to get a player that has never lived in their country. If I am not mistaken this is the first time he has ever set foot on French soil. My cod these French....so sensitive.

I hope everyone hates him even in the USA when he comes back. Be the Villain of the NBA Embiid use their hate to make you stronger. Perhaps this way he can actually be healthy come the playoffs.

A bit disappointed by the brackets and group stages to be honest. The US won't play against 2 out of 3 of Canada, France and Germany (assuming Greece doesn't pull a major upset ofcourse).

I know it's random draws but, from a viewer interest point of view, you want to see the best team face the biggest challengers.

Because you still see France as on of the biggest challenger? :p
Beating twice Serbia would be a decent path to the finals ^^
LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

Irrelevant you say. It's the Olympics, it only comes around once every 4 years. If wins and losses were irrelevant then why do they keep score and give out medals?

only way I see it is if they get uber hot from 3 and USA has the worst offensive day of their life

I just don't see it with Bron there with the keys to the team and that insane depth

And now we know why the crowd was so riled up towards Embiid. In their minds he would have made a difference against Germany. Shoot every French basketball loss can be now blamed on Embiid.

Germany is not beating the US, lol. And I would give the MVP to Giannis easy. What he is doing for that crap Greece team is crazy.

Greece is 1-2 and was the worst seed to advance. After the next game they’ll finish 1-3. Is a player on a 1-3 team really going to get an mvp?

Unfortunately not. Unless the planets align and everything goes right for the Boomers, I can't see them getting close.

I think Germany is the only team that can give the USA a game as well. Canada would be interesting if they had Wiggins and Edey. Canada just doesn't have the horses up front to stay with the US. Germany is a well put together team with size and shooting. Plus Denis makes all the difference at PG. Just hoping Franz can show up and make it close. Dunno if they can win but it will be a game.

Germany is missing Hartenstein too. Plus us Magic fans might adopt German national team if they keep leaving off Paolo for Derrick White. Da Silva is going be playing for them next Olympics as well. Won't be surprised if Denis eventually ends up in Orlando ha. Always apparently Anthony Black can speak German. It's destiny lol

Franz literally got a max contract. Is that not enough limelight?

Banchero will always be the face of the Magic.

Serbia is good but they don't matchup well with the US. That's a really bad draw for them, playing us again (IF they beat AUS)?? who the hell decides that? Lame.

Canada vs Germany will be a great game, both would give USA a run - I think Germany matches up better with their bigs and shooting ability. Canada has SGA but their bigs will get rolled, he would have to go nuts.

Boomers looked very unimpressive against Greece. I don't see them have a legit shot against the US, they probably won't get past Serbia either.
