I agree with this wholehardedly...
Brunson will evolve into our Jeter...I dont think we should even joke like this. Many in the
league still doubt him...

Besides, Randle can postpone the extension to avoid the possibility of being traded at the deadline. If he re-sigs on August 7th, I think the Knicks can not trade him this midseason.
He not gonna sign a extension today![]()
If he is training sumo, I believe he is not in shape anymore. Let's trade him!!!

If the Knicks get Ayton, Randle would need to be involved, plus they would need to find a way to add about $5.1mm to the trade (I believe they still have early bird rights on DaQuan Jefferies to facilitate the trade plus room under the apron to absorb the salary difference).
But NY should only do this if it was a 3 team trade and they could get a couple of picks back in the process.
I’m kind of intrigued by this lineup:
Brunson/Bridges/Anunoby/Precious/Ayton
Duce/DDV/Hart/Robinson
But need draft picks to set up a trade for a true #2 scoring option down the road.

No. Mitch + Hart is like 32.5mm combined and Ayton is north of 34.
It wouldn’t surprise me if down the road either Hart or DDV is moved to balance the roster and add a center. But in don’t think it will be for Ayton and not this summer.

I agree. Unless the new center is a second scorer. However, we can not trust players such as Towns and Ayton. Besides, it would be tough to match their salaries.
