We will see our stars in competitive mode already this summer!

Together with the host France team, Serbia and Canada are TOP contenders for the 2024 silver medal.

I will watch both play but still pull for the USA. If they play each other, that would be great as long as neither gets hurt.

Good but not the best start for both Denver stars in the OG round-1. Murray has a precautionary playing time restriction regime and even started the game for Canada (Win vs Giannis' Greece) from the bench. In 31 minutes with Jokic on the floor vs Team USA Serbia was +/- 0 while in 9 minutes without Joker -26 :lol:

Hearing if Serbia can win Sat vs. South Sudan, both Jokic and Murray will advance to the Quarter Final rounds.

Murray's playing time is still restricted, in the last game against Spain, he played only 16 minutes.

Serbian fans are furious with the Serbian coach who, in the blowout victory against Puerto Rico, took Jokic out of the game in the third quarter when he was just 1 assist short of only the 4th triple-double in the history of the Olympic Games.

Murray looks out of place on the Canadian team to me. Perhaps sharing the point guard duties is not a way to use his talents.

Jokic is still in a class by himself.

Serbia was the bold favorite vs Australia today in the quarterfinal game but during 2nd quarter Australia had a +24 lead. Somehow (guess who was MVP) Serbia won it in overtime. But in the semifinal once again Serbia will face the USA all-star team.

Party is over for Murray, time for hime to get some R&R as well as rehab. He didn't look great for Team Canada (I get the National honor thing, just think he just needs to get healthy), time to prepare for his J-O-B and that $209MM contract.

In the last game, Jokic finally achieved an OG triple-double and reached the bronze medal.

Jokic is the tournament's #1 in total points, assists, rebounds (and co-leader in steals).

I forget where I heard this, but Malone made some comments recently indicating that they want Jamal to work out more to get into better shape to help himself hold up over the season. That is definitely concerning and I wonder if it has to do with the contract delay. He did look a little heavy and I wonder if he needs to improve his diet to help him maintain better throughout the year.
