Good looking out.

While I appreciate not having cable with unlimited useless chanels I also get annoyed at having to subscribe to a bunch of services to watch 1 show. It's ridiculousness.

It’s crazy how many of these channels I don’t watch. There’s got to be a better way.

I'm a fan of courtroom drama shows, so Your Honor was great (even though most of it took place outside of the courtroom). I also think AppleTV's Presumed Innocent is probably the my favorite show I've watched this year, but it seems extremely slept on.

On a random "no one knows this show, and it's pretty freakin' cool" tip, Paramount has a Korean thriller series called Bargain (don't worry if you hate subtitles, the episodes are dubbed). It's 6 episodes, but they're all filmed to seem it's one long shot. Remember the incredible one-shot scene from True Detective Season 1? This tries to tell an entire story with action sequences and set changes, all in the same fashion. Here's the synopsis:
"Men are lured to a remote hotel, only to be caught in an organ trafficking ring. After a catastrophic earthquake, the survivors fight to escape."

So just finished Severance a while ago. It's a bit of a slow burn. Takes a bit of patience but I think it pays off and now I'm looking forward to season 2. Surprised at Ben Stiller writing a show like this. Gotta support that Knicks fan.

Murder, she Wrote was very interesting.

Jessica Fletcher was a very unlucky elderly lady. Every week, an acquaintance near her was murdered and she had to investigate.

Wow, since 2001 I have pretty much just watched news and sports, with the exception of the series "24", "The Office", "Outlander" and I just finished binge watching all six seasons of "The Soprano's".

Halt and Catch Fire and Peaky Blinders are two EXCELLENT shows that go on my all time top 20 (Peaky is top 12) lists. Still not sure how/why Halt couldn’t milk more seasons given they started in the 80s and had plenty of runway to keep developing the internet/broadband industry timeline. And Peaky? Chef’s kiss!

Now Sugar had me going because you could tell something was off about him/everyone but the twist was actually somehow unbelievable and believable at the same time. Crazy, but I could see someone being let down. Night Manager was good too, but was The Last of Us written as a miniseries? I’m not sure. As for Riplet, are you talking about the one that came out last year? Still haven’t seen it but someone said I’d like it but I wasn’t too sure.

Haven't seen these mentioned

Borgen, a Danish government show about a female prime minister. Can watch it on Netflix now with English dubbed in but the Danish with English subtitles is better. Huge hit in the UK. Much better than West Wing.

My Brilliant Friend on HBO, Italian with English subtitles. Great story. Season 4 coming soonish with the two main characters being played by older women.
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

I fix Last of Us. I keep forgetting there will be a new season. Maybe because I do not want to see it because I know what happens... I played the game.

Halt and catch fire was great. But it should be tough to keep all the crew together for more than 4 seasons Especially if it is a show for not everyone.

The sugar twist was very unexpected. I think I would find it an even better show if I had watched more old movies.

Yes, the black-and-white version of Ripley. It has an art feel. An old-fashioned approach. Very good.

Anybody watch Umbrella Academy season 5 yet?

I've always been underwhelmed by this show, though I thought S2 was pretty good.
