Why has everyone been ignoring this thread? What else is going on that might be competing for your attention?

The prospect of pizza which I'm trying to ignore because everyone told me carbs were bad.

I'm going to ignore them or my stomach's desires.

As with everything else Kw, it's all about usage.

Carbs are about usage.

As to TS%, that also is only important in the context of usage. A guy takes 3 shots all season, all of them 3-pointers & all of them makes, & guess what? He leads the league in TS%. But, I'm still not voting for him as MVP.

In fact, I'll do just what this thread suggests I should do -- I'll ignore him!

True sauce percentage is important but crust is important.

i've ignored paying my HOA dues, can't find my checkbook, and now i need to find time to go to the bank, and then find time to go to the post office. it's 2024, make online payment a thing.

I used to be all about the cheese but now I think crust is the most important. Sauce comes in third. You need all 3 for a true winner though.

In situations like the one you describe, I have found that holding my breath until I turn blue works quite well.

"Ignore" the above....

Speed of delivery is important too. You can't ignore speed of delivery.

I don't care how good the cheese is, or the sauce or the crust, if it takes a long time & gets here cold... how good is it going to be?

Ah, I pick mine up. Worked through school delivering so I trust myself to get it to me on time.

Value Over Replacement Pizza champion is any pie from New Haven. I would eat cold New Haven pizza for breakfast over any other hot pizza any day. Sally's, Pepe's, Modern, whomever. Coal fired brick ovens, fresh ingredients and home made sauce. Too damn good. Top the pizza ratings every year, worth a road trip if you are pizza fanatic. The only thing that is nearly as satisfying is a single slice from any Rays Famous or Original Rays or whatever countertop street pizza joint is open after 3 am in NY after the bar lets out when you just have to stuff something down your face before you stagger home.

Hmmmm, what shall we have for dinner tonight? Wait... I know... pizza!

Next time you're in Lewes, try Mr. P's -- Italian brick oven... extremely good!

Actually, here is something NOT to ignore: Rao's frozen pizza.

Rao's marinara sauce is the best there is. Innumerable professional chefs have admitted they can't make a better sauce.

A while ago they started marketing frozen pizza. You can find it at many stores that carry their sauces, & it is quite good! Give it a try.

Went to college in New York (state), they have no clue how to make pizza. They put so much oil in the crust that the toppings slide off. Brick oven pizza can be very good, even here in Florida. Haven't tried Rao's.

I'm pretty confident that my sauce is better than Rao's.

It's Friday night, so pizza on the grill!
