The guy definitely seems to have an intense drive to show people who didn't believe he could be a top level player they were wrong. I imagine he'll be extremely interested in coming/going to the NBA if the money is right.

Other than Prigioni, I'm having a hard time recalling a consistent list of "late bloomers" from Europe coming over. And I use the term late bloomer very loosely.

Sabonis?

Yeah, that fits. Still highly uncommon.

Probably tried to give him a G-League or 2-way contract

Plus the fact he's 29 not 19. He's probably very comfortable where his life is at now.

Even if the window with Durant is only 1-2 years, it’s worth it. A player like that raises your ceiling. I think Hart likely needs to be in this kind of a trade for salary purposes.

Brunson-Bridges-Anunoby-Durant is the best 1-4 in the league.

Brunson/Bridges/Anunoby/Durant/Robinson
McBride/DDV/Precious

Round out the roster with the taxpayer MLE

That’s a bonefide championship contender

A washed KD is better than a prime Randle

Few understand this

The Randle version of the team - were going to win around 50 games for the next five years but likely fall short in the playoffs

The Durant version of the team - you have a very small window (1-3 years) to compete for a title

My guess is it's not about the money, more about the role.

and we are never going to compete for a title depending on Randle to show up.

For Booker and Randle to be EXTREMELY Close due to their Kentucky connections
For KD to want out
For Phoenix to be looking to avoid being repeat tax offenders
For their front office to be down to do KD a solid and trade him to a contender of his choosing out East
For Phx to be a middle of the road/below expectations team at the deadline
For Phx to value depth and win now pieces over Picks like Houston can offer

In a perfect world we can finesse a 4 team trade... (stick with me ya'll lol)

KD Kessler and Goga to NY + $2,965,920 + $9,057,971 = $63,202,911 in

Deuce + Detroit 1st and a future protected swap to Utah

Dadiet + 2nds to Orlando

Randle Mitch Precious TPMLE player + KBD Wash 1st to Phx

= $63,598,730 out

Soo more money out then in so we'll still capped at the 2nd Apron

C: Kessler/Goga/Sims/Hukporti (2 way)
PF: KD/OG
SF: OG/Hart/Mcullar Jr. (2 way)
SG: Mikal/Donte
PG: Brunson/Kolek/Payne

13 Rostered players and a cap sheet of

1) KD: $51,179,020
2) OG: $36,637,932
3) Brunson: $24,960,001
4) Mikal: $23,300,000
5) Hart: $18,144,000
6) Donte: $11,445,000
7) Goga: $9,057,971
8) Kessler: $2,965,920
9) Sims: $2,092,344
10) Kolek: $2,087,519
11) Payne: $2,087,519
12) Hukporti: $578,577
13) McCullar Jr: $578,577

= $185,114,380

2nd Apron is $188,931,000

Leaving us with $3,816,620 in 2nd apron space to fill out that last roster if we want to carry 14 or 15 guys

Vet min for players 10+ years of experience is $3,303,771

So we can theoretically sign any one to a Vet min and still have $512,849...

I hope all that is indeed legal lmao but yeah..insane pipe dream but financially it's all possible... I think

If it ain't KD, it's KAT. Can't wait for the next favor of the week to come through.

I can see a KD to NY scenario playing out if PHX falters early. PHX front office will want to put out a playoff team even if it’s fighting for the 6th seed with Booker and Randle.

Mitch/Nurkic
Randle/Precious
Book/Okogie
Beal/Allen
Tyus Jones/Deuce

Is a decent team
