Got an ideal trade setup I think.
Lakers get Ingram, Reath, Banton
Pelicans get Ayton
Blazers get DLo, Vincent, Vando
LeBron, Reaves, Ingram, Rui, Davis
Banton, Christie, Knecht, Wood, Reath
JHS, Bronny, Reddish, Lewis, Hayes
Costs Lakers the 2029 FRP and an 2028 FRP swap option.
Not horrible, but honestly I want the ball in Lebron's hand with space and have a great scorer with him
We have seen how great Lebron and Kyrie were and we just saw how great Bron and Curry were together
Is there a guy that can play that role?
If Lavine was able to play like he was 2-3 seasons back, he could be, but the salary and injury risk is pretty huge. We would need a 1st back (or being routed)
Is CJ good enough?
Trae works I think, but I feel like ATL rather retool with him
Reaves is nice, but he isn't those guys on offense

Only Steph can do what Steph did there. Team USA was stagnant like the Lakers with LeBron and Davis.
I think you have to recognise that the team needs iso creators like LeBron, Ingram, Reaves to get offense going in a stagnant offense.
The more I've thught about the more I've realised Lakers need an upgrade of DLo to go further in playoffs, you need an upgrade of his role (playmaker) and Ingram is the best guy. I think Ingram is underrated defensively, he can defend 1-5 to an average degree, he's not elite but he's versatile.
Both CJ and LaVIne are limited defenders and worse than Ingram. Plus Pels like CJ leadership and want to move Ingram on.

But those guys are much better 3 point shooters
We should have beat Denver last year and Denver was a legit title contender (Minny just matches them well)
If we had even a backup C and a better coach, we probably do it
So I am not fully convinced that we are a bad team. Once we started to play more Rui and got Vando back, we had a top 5 record for a while at the end
BI worries me in the sense that he changes the way we play a lot
Getting a guy like Lavine, CJ, or Cam Johnson don''t
BI probably doesn't even fit JJ's plans well
