Do we have a better shooter than him? I'd warn you about watching the men's video game mode, and trying to glean ideas/information from it, but I dunno that you'll listen. It's alot easier to do whatever the f**k you want, when you have Embiid, Davis, Curry, Edwards, Durant, etc etc. Oh...and let's not forget it's this super relaxed 6 or so game tournament, with 2-3 days off between games. I wouldn't take it for anything but a video game.
Food for thought

I don't think he's physically capable of doing it(PG duties) for 35ish minutes anymore. Also, we don't have much shooting, cutting or finishing talent on the roster to take advantage of his passing, so there comes a point when it becomes futile to give up his own high efficiency scoring to set up open shots for the likes of all but Austin & Dlo. Also, the lack of proper spacing makes it a lot harder for him to set up the same kinda looks.
I've dreamt about that kinda statline for him for years, but it needs a functional roster, not essentially Team USA, but pretty much any other playoff team's role players flipped for whatever garbage we have.

If you are a fan of mediocracy so be it. This version of LeBron isn't the LeBron who built his lore is... and never will be again. Davis is a nice piece but not a leader and definitely not someone to build around in 3 years. It's a game of keeping the money flowing to the kids running their Dad's business into the ground. They will make money... so much that they don't need to put a championship product on the floor because fans saying the things you just wrote will keep coming back for more.
I'd buy tickets to see a true ground up rebuild... not for a half heated attempt at staying competitive and selling the persona of a guy well past his prime hanging on to play with his kid in a "side show".

Laker fans... you know the ones that date back to the 70's don't. The early 2000's ownership knew to sell high on Shaq and move on with a couple rough years and then do what the Lakers used to do... build a winner.

This version of Lebron was the MVP of the IST & is odds on favorite to win the Olympics Basketball MVP, on a team loaded with All Stars. He is still a super high efficiency 25-7-7 guy, who happens to be the best clutch player of all time.
This isn't MJ or Kobe chucking up shots to get into the top 3 scoring leaders list, while ensuring their team can't win because of their inefficiency. He is yet to fall of the All NBA. When he does, we can entertain the thought of a rebuild / blowing it up.
AD is the only player to be on the All NBA and All Defensive team this year - universally recognized by everyone as the best defender in the league when it counts for two straight playoff runs.
This is the best duo in the league right now and that's just an objective fact. Your and your little gang's feeling are just feelings.
Unfortunately, it happens to be a team sport, not 2v2 or Celtics wouldn't have been back at the top this year. I am not deluded enough to think that two of my team's superstars aren't worth investing everything in.

Blah blah blah....you got anything to say about the Lakers? When your ready to get up off Lebron's lap, maybe you realize the Olympics and "all NBA" and your other garbage has nothing to do with the Lakers. Best duo in the league, eh? Yeah...on the 17th best team. Nice attempt at misdirection there.....keep talking about anything but the Lakers. Your 10-cent head's got nothing to say about that. The only loser group around here, can't stick to the topic at hand.....THE LAKERS. Your too busy giving Lebron jock itch, and coming up with stupid reasons our record doesnt matter. Nobody with a brain gives half a sh** what he, or anyone else is doing on team video-game. So you gtf outa here with your poor mans logic. It's the LAKERS....not Lebron. And we're in decline, and aging out. If that simple discussion is too hard for you, go play with your slinky....cause your personal attacks come up real short, when followed by your weak-ass misdirection.
Sorry to everyone else. I don't lump anyone else with this moron. Telling people they're on drugs, zombies, that they're stupid, and losers....you really aughta come with something better than how cool Lebron looks in Paris. Go get a good take on the Lakers. Maybe then you won't have to lash out like a 5-year old.

most here don’t want this team to lose, it’s their extreme hatred for Lebron that is overpowering their objectivity. Most of them disappeared and probably went on depression when they won it all in 2020.

"Extreme hatred for Lebron".....ha! Jeez man, you sound like Biden. Extreme hatred...is that Extreme ultra MAGA hatred?? LOL...I kid with political stuff....but holy hell. "Went on depression when they won...." Sounds like you've got the world wrapped up pretty nicely into the righteous and the wicked there.....sheesh. Layin it on a little thick, don't you think?
The world ain't that simple bub....sorry to break it to you. Splitting the world into 'those that get Lebron' and 'those that don't' will leave you with a pretty lazy analysis of the situation. Sticking to the Lakers.....they were 16-17th last year. Totally middle of the road. They just had an unsuccessful offseason, where no trades were able to get done. Our two stars are either past their prime, or will be exiting it in the next year. They have no first pick next draft.....and it almost wouldn't matter, as they are good enough to get pushed out of the lottery.
And so while it's true that we prob have the best 1-2 punch in the league...that punch is descending, not ascending. And it's not able to get the job done. 7th, 11th, 7th, 8th in the West over the last 4 years will attest to that. Changes are needed. Lebron announcing to the league he'd take a pay-cut to bring someone, is an admission of that right there.
You think this team still has a title in them possibly. I don't. <---------- See, there doesn't have to be some bad guy, or some "idiot" in this equation. And (at least in my case) it has nothing to do with the players involved. You can love them, hate them, sorta like them....doesn't matter. 7th, 11th, 7th, 8th in the West. And unable to make meaningful moves to improve the squad...even with a pay cut.

Yup... and that version of LeBron isn't playing against cohesive teams for 82 either. Context my friend. This post, taken at face value, would translate into a deep playoff run.... which hasn't happened in most of LeBron's time as a Laker. Only the Bubble... where he got a bunch of rest before the...what ever that was happened.
Lebron has been one of the greatest individual players ever... got it... what's left in the tank isn't carrying a team to a championship unless he's the 3rd wheel. If it were the case we'd be celebrating back to back championships.

You think I hate LeBron? Seriously? I want the Lakers to be truly relevant again. I disagree with the playing the string out stuff the ownership is doing. We have one old all time great and a shaky number 2 guy who flashes top talent between WTF stretches and injuries. Not sure how to play that reality any other way.
Barring a miracle acquisition or 3, this team isn't championship material. Just isn't. The re-signing of LeBron and the ineptitude of the management will put this franchise in a hole for the better part of a decade.
As a fan dating back to the early 70's I can tell you I don't "hate" any player. I don't give sports that sort of attention. LeBron is not a terribly likable person off the floor but neither was Kareem who I view as the most important Laker with Magic ever. I want the jersey to win.... the players in the jersey change. We need them to change before we will be truly relevant again. I think everyone here knows that. This team is no better than the last 3 years. It's a .500ish team with a couple of players who dominate the team who have age and injury issues.
Finally, the drafting of Bron's kid is fairly telling if you step back from it a bit. It's truly a side show. Watching him in Vegas I'm not seeing him as someone who gets a roster spot based on his talent or performance. He'll get one based on who is dad is. That's not a great vibe for a "team" IMHO. We talk about coaches. I can't think of one of our championship coaches that would do that.
You can try and twist my posts into a silly "you hate LeBron" stuff as much as you want. It's truly a Jr Highschool play. If it makes you feel better then please continue. Having you feel superior is important to you it seems. It's not changing my mind that we should start the rebuild last summer.

Where did you get that I don't know why he was traded? You are really stretching to be a "better fan".
When you yell "Pay Me" to the owner after 3 championship appearances while gaining 100lbs resulting in an injured toe you then wait until "work time" to have surgery on it's time to go. Shaq paved his road out of here and the good Dr. showed him the way.
The good Dr. viewed the 3X Finals MVP the way he should have. It's a marker of something that HAS happened... not a predicted of what will happen. He saw a future with more championships without Shaq.... and he was right. If memory serves Shaq never scored over 22 again after leaving the Lakers. A pretty astute business move I'd say.
Our owner now sees a future with a father and son photo op. Another astute business move... not one that rebuilds toward a championship however.

Bruh ChatGPT would take seconds to write baseless spam better than these three TLDR BS posts. We get it, you don't like Bron, and don't watch basketball. Stop wasting RealGM's bites, delete your account and go spend some time with the family.
Man just won the MVP on a team with only All NBA talent, but this miserable clown feels important enough to be personally heard about how he's just a 3rd wheel. Third wheel who lead USA in PTS, ASTS, REBS & STLS. AD lead the BLKS and tied Bron & Bam for REBS by the way, so We have the leaders of all 5 major stats, and are still mid.
