Uh, no, this is not how basketball is supposed to be played. These French players are body checking the US players left and right, and setting illegal blocks all over the floor and getting away with it.
If this game was called fairly, it would be a 20 point US lead right now.

Still just 6 free throws versus the 42 they got against Canada.

idk what you are talking about, 42 FTs in a 40 min game is totally normal.

Came in rooting for the USA, and still am, but I wouldn't mind an upset either tbh.

I bet on the USA but I wouldn’t mind if France won either. It’s an easy team to root for and yabu is on a different level

How many points was France getting? France plus the points might've been a solid bet.

It looks more and more that they should have taken Jaylen over Tatum, not White.

Tatum is a mental midget and tends to look awful when things aren't going his way, this has been known

If you started following the NBA in the 2010s that may explain why you think that way, but that's proper physical basketball, not the BS tiggling calls you see in the NBA.

I've been watching basketball since the 79 season, and this is not good basketball. Sure there used to be a lot more physical play back in the day, but for the most part it wasn't dirty like this. And back then it was called (or allowed both ways). This one sided crap is just pathetic.

Nah, this is over. Not once did the game feel like Serbia, and USA has been rather comfortable despite obvious home cooking. France doesn't have the IQ to keep making the correct plays.

Will Kerr get Hali and White into the game? Will Tatum play again this half?

Booker has been so great. The assists to KD and Steph + physical defense have been my Favorite

Curry, Booker, KD, Lebron, Bam, AD, Jrue and a little bit of Ant but tell him to move the ball. Those are the dudes that should see minutes.

Two of the biggest France runs were sparked by flops what do you mean? Let’s not act like this is all tough. The flop on the 3 with 0 contact, the flop through the lane for 2 FTs and the flop charge on Jrue. It’s actually 3 of them

In an nba game, embiid could make Wemby work on defense, but that would be silly here to run an offense through Embiid when we have all these other talented stars. I wouldn’t be shocked if we didn’t see him embiid this next half. He helped us last game, but might not be a good fit here.

I don’t buy that. He can’t be that unplayable. Are you telling he can't play anyone other than Rudy from France. I mean that’s sad. If that’s the case I don’t want to hear Embiid is anywhere near the top 5 players in the world. If can’t play against freaking France.

What do you mean? I’m saying that in this specific context, AD and Bam, two amazing defenders who are constantly competing for defensive player of the year, are possibly better fits in this specific match up against Wemby, a unique player in his own right. I don’t know why that is particularly controversial and I wouldn’t extrapolate much from it besides what it is.

And Wemby can’t guard Embiid. I bet it is harder for Wemby to guard Embiid than the other way around. Or it should if Embiid is indeed a top 5 player. Heck I seen Jokic guard Wemby effectively during the friendly and Embiid is a lot more athletic than Jokic is

Americans crying over officiating is funny.
Physical defense is how basketball should be played.
Thats just sad that you guys think that flopping is normal.
