LeBron easily clears. Dude has a story that Americans usually love: pulls himself and mom out of poverty, marries his HS sweetheart, never has rumors of infidelity, never gets in trouble, hype is realized, GOAT conversation, generally a nice guy, raised a bunch of good kids, an absolute freak well after his prime...

One of the most polarizing players in the NBA because.... he complains to refs, he left Cleveland (who wouldn't), joined a "superteam" and he has opinions on society that may differ from your own.

LeBron was almost universally loved until "The Decision".

The ego on full display drew a boatload of detractors IMO, not the moving to Miami part. The LeGM stuff since then adds to it.

I think Jo might get more actual hateful **** than LeBron though. LeBron it's more like "f that guy keep him off my team" whereas Jo has people openly rooting for his injuries.

From basketball fans, I agree. From Tim Pool fans, definitely not.

Joel with the right pieces is unstoppable tho. That USA team is scary Curry,Lebron,Durant and Embiid...

I am all for a Tari Eason for McCain and KJ Martin swap or even radical a Ben Simmons revival PF project.

I think Ben at PF next to embiid,George, maxey and shooters might be dangerious

I hated on Bron a lot; Mostly to be a hipster contrarian douche lol. And I do think the his way or the highway method of his teams would suck to root for.

Not going to lie tho him being on a team I want to win does make me like him a lot more lol. Dude is a beast and all of the outside **** aside to do this at 40 years old is nuts

That's okay. Any douche levels you may think you have are microscopic compared to LeCorn's.

I found this pretty funny. I haven't watched the Olympics, but hasn't Kerr been regularly playing White and Holiday? Last I checked, they are still Celtics. Maybe someone should tell ol' Bob.

That Celtics locker room is gonna be a mess this season. Tatum & Brown both feel very disrespected during a summer where they should’ve finally been admitted to the big boys table. Maybe it just motivates them to win again but I could easily see them becoming obsessed with individual accolades.

If Embiid could show the kind of drive/determination/emotion and leadership for the Sixers he showed against Serbia, the Sixers would be a far more formidable team to contend with in the playoffs.

As we witnessed with USA late in the game against Serbia, that kind of stuff is inspirational and contagious among players and is the stuff of overcoming adversity and winning.

You simply get more out of a player physically when he's become inspired by his teammates' drive and determination. That spreads among the team like contagion and you have a whole unit that's playing at a far higher level than it otherwise would.

I don't see it. Teams only fall into that when they are fighting for contracts. All of them got their money and they all got rings. Injuries, mediocre coaching or (hopefully unlike this past season) difficult playoff matchups are the things that could get in their way.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

My hopes for tonight, in exact order of priority:

1) Embiid stays healthy
2) Embiid plays well
3) USA wins

Embiid playing really well.

I’m surprised Kerr can’t get Haliburton in the game for a few mins. He seems to understand his role is to stay positive and he prob isn’t going to play.

They initially struggled with Embiid out, but Brow picked up his game.

Steph and Lebron are still studs.

Kerr loves Booker. He is always in the game.
