Guerschon Yabusele was one of the stars of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Yabusele played well enough for France that buzz has begun about him making a second run at the NBA.
Yabusele's deal with Real Madrid includes a $2.5 million NBA buyout. That amount reportedly jumped up from $1 million on July 15.
The French forward was drafted by the Boston Celtics with the 16th pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He spent a season playing in China before coming to the NBA for the 2017-18 season. In 74 games over two seasons with the Celtics, Yabusele averaged 2.3 points in 6.6 minutes per game. Boston waived Yabusele ahead of the 2019-20 season.
The 6-foot-8 forward went on to play in China, then a season-plus in France before moving to Spain. Last season for Real Madrid, Yabusele averaged 9.7 points on 53/45/81 shooting splits across all competitions.
