BI to Lakers
Ayton to NO, along with '29 LA 1st
Rui and CWood to Bulls
Vuc, Vincent, Port 1st back to Port
I think LAL has to send out a bit more salary. Would Port want Vandy or Christie (probably can't be traded)
Port sends a bit more salary to LAL?
Something's there with this-Lakers could be the perfect BI destination

I thought it was 5-30 protected. Why would NOP trade top 4 protected FRP in 25 for Ayton?
POR would have to take that, but NOP shouldn’t do it.
Oh man, but imagine if it were 5-30 protected and we got Flagg for Ayton lol.
Do you think NOP will be that bad? I don’t.
It looks like they won’t and we get nothing except a straight downgrade.
I could see them missing the playoffs, and with the flattened lottery you never know.

Re: Ingram to Lakers, Ayton to Pels
That pick is a MIL pick not a NO pick.
If MIL pick falls from 1-4 NO gets it, 5-30 NY gets it. Meaning NO trading that away as an "asset" is a joke, it is worthless. MIL would have to:
A) miss the playoffs & then
B) Jump up into the Top 4 for that pick to convey.
How some team (NO?) ever took that as some sort of compensation in a deal is a mystery to me.
On another note, I can't believe the NBA allows this to even occur,, I am just waiting for the team that trades the same 1st round pick 3 separate times (1-4, 5-114, 15-30). Maybe it has already happened? LOL

Did the OP say that’s the pick? Feel like OP would’ve said “MIL” not “NOP” if he was talking about that pick. But maybe I missed it.
And.. NOP had Mil’ unprotected 2025 first years ago. And traded it with top 4 protection for CJM, just in case Milwaukee blew up or Giannis missed the season.. then it got traded again.. Portland allowed NOP to keep that protection because it was minor and most likely never mattered. But if it does? Hindsight fun..

Re: Ingram to Lakers, Ayton to Pels
Well, it matches the exact same terms of the MIL pick owed to them, so it leads you to think that.
But even if it was their own pick, it would be a stupid trade for POR to trade for a pick that is protected 5-30, where NO would most certainly end up. So the bet is what, that NO misses the playoffs and then beats the odds to jump into the top 4? That is a sucker bet.

Jay is right. I write 5-30 to indicate where the pick is allowed to land. I will change it to 1-4 protected and stick to that from now on.
Didn't realize I was creating confusion like this.

Well the Lakers first is a lot better than the one they give up. I mean Pels should feel like they are going for the playoffs with the Murray acquisition.
If Lakers had these picks to give: LAL29FRP, LAL26swap, LAL28swap, LAC25SRP, LAL25SRP
How would you split it up between Pels and Blazers?

Lakers easily pass. The only reason to give up a first is for a high end big. A redundant wing who plays 55 games a year and doesn’t contribute to winning does nothing for them
Warspite:
Prince + filler for Kobe Bryant
To be honest the way Prince has played and with Kobes injury/age/mileage Im not sure I would do that deal either. Still Prince is more important and he wins the head to head battles with Kobe.

Any trade where they move DLo requires playmaking coming back.
Does this high end big you want need to be able to play with Davis? Do you have an example?

Re: Ingram to Lakers, Ayton to Pels
I think the Lakers lack another reliable scorer more than another "not all star" big. Reaves, Ingram, Rui, Lebron and AD would be a dangerous team.
