Pretty sure Arch was Brunson's best man at his wedding so if you like JB on a heavily discounted contract you're probably going to have to live with his best friend taking up a roster spot while he's here
A small price to pay IMO

What is the roster/potential roster? I'll take a shot
Brunson
Bridges
OG
Randle
Mitch
Donte
Hart
Precious
Deuce
Payne
Sims
Bates-Diop
Kolek
Didiet
(14 players)
Hawkpootie - 2 way
McCullar - 2 way
Okedoke - exhibit 10
So, Archie can be 15th man?
Did I miss anyone?

Do they win a championship? I’m not trolling at all. And who’s your man at shooting guard? I’m genuinely interested, don’t get me wrong.
If you asked me about players I find intriguing other than the very dominant/up and coming players in the league, it’d probably be
Dunn/Ntilikina lol
DeRozan/Bogdanovic
Edit: OG, Kawhi is worn down
Grant/Markkanen (despite the contract)
Sengun/Nurkic
That’s not a contender

In two years all 15 players will be former Wildcats and you will like it

He brings a winning edge culture. Even Duke's Mike K. said Ryan A. was the guy you want; the kind that WINS championships. Can see him in assistant coach role. Kind of amazing to think the Knicks are now closer to a championship than the Jets.

Well, we tried Spellman (character flaws) and Paschall (thought he had a chance to stick) but Cam Whitmore (even though non-J Wright coached) would be nice.
Just looked - 13 NOva players played between 10 and 18 years in the NBA. And the 18 yr guy is still playing.

Just thinking about Randle drawing doubles and him kicking it out to Mikal, OG or Brunson as opposed to Bullock, RJ or Elfrid... puts a smile on my face

Idk - im not sold on Tobias Bridges.
Kinda worried we blew our resources on a role player.

I don’t see much Bridges and Tobias Harris have in common.

Guan0 hates good players!!!
Tbh I get his concerns. Mikal disappaeared a lot in the post season in Phoenix and he stopped playing defense on the nets. So there’s a risk with mikal. Ultimately, he’s still an upgrade over DDV so I think it will work out.

its not just the Nova effect...its Mikal was miscast as a #1 option with the Nets that clearly isn't his ideal role. They also played with basically not point or playmaker with his time with the Nets. So he had to do a lot of self creation. Now he really improved in that ability as I don't think many people thought he could ever get to a +20 ppg guy he was labeled 3/D when he was in PHX.
So now he can go back to playing more in a off-ball role and really improve his efficiency. He has guys like Brunson and Randle he can play off that draw the oppositions attention and he can feast of the catch and attack close outs which he is very effective at.
His PPG will go down EFF should go way up.

Walker Kessler/Daniel Gafford/Adem Bona
Nikola Jokic/Santi Aldama/Isaiah Stewart
Aaron Nesmith/Josh Hart/Jaime Jaquez

Brooklyn's lineup composition was such a disaster post-KD trade. Their under last year was the easiest bet on the board. They had basically no NBA proven bigs besides Claxton. He struggles in certain matchups and then corpse of Ben Simmons was their only good passer. It was a mish mosh of 3 and somewhat D wings with no playmaking or interior defense surrounding them. Mikal was never going to truly thrive in that situation.
It would have been malpractice to go into this season without their pick and with that same kind of roster.
Mikal will have a much better time in a Knicks jersey IMO. His role is much more defined and he won't have to fight with Cam Thomas for shot attempts anymore
