Yeah it's not totally ideal but the forum is our nexus and keeps us all together. If the forum had some kind of live messaging service that would be perfect.

I do kind of want to make us all use our forum names as team names this upcoming year which would make it easier to dm.

Well unfortunately yahoo wont even let us make trade offers during off-season in the first place which is kinda the main hurdle. You can always make trade offers in DMs here though during the offseason at any time. The league itself doesn't forbid offseason trades - you just can't do them over yahoo during the offseason. But trades agreed to here are just as official. We keep track of all the players and picks in the spreadsheet.

You can also try using the yahoo app dm feature although i think even less managers use it. worth a shot though.

The main reason it's hard to make trades in the offseason is that people are inactive since there is no basketball.

And it cannot be reiterated enough (for all our managers) that the owners realgm names and current rosters are available in the spreadsheet right now if anyone wants to make a trade they can use that (bookmark it). The spreadsheet is really useful in the offseason - managers should use it more. And I'll shill for Josh Lloyd's fantasy basketball youtube channel here too since its the best place to get up to speed on the new season.

There is a work around to allow us to trade players in app but that would require me to start our league, meaning the picks that you'd see on the trade proposal screen would be for the 2025-2026 season, not this year's upcoming draft. And to negotiate picks, well, again you'd have to DM here or negotiate that elsewhere somehow. So it's really not worthwhile to do this workaround.

Yeah they have to be 1 for 1 pick swaps. I believe it's mandated by yahoo on the trade proposal screen, another limitation of their platform.

But if it's not mandated then I don't see why we shouldnt be able to trade players for picks. Idk, guess we'll find out when the season can actually begin. Lol (sorry for not being much help).

Apologies I don't understand your question.

Are you talking about the trade screen in app/browser with how it has picks from rounds like 1-12?

We've been using rounds 1-5 without a problem.

Yeah it should be the 1-5 picks used in negotiations. All this stuff gets entered manually again at the start of the season when we're drafting by the way. Unfortunate but even with yahoo keeping track of these transactions on their end we still have to do some work to get the draft order sorted and players added to the right teams on yahoo.

1. Does anybody know why it says specifically that the #20 overall pick (Joe Kleine for 3) is owned by Joe Kleine For 3?

2. Would it make sense to go from 2 IL and 2 IL+ spots to just 3 or 4 IL+ spots? It doesnt seem having two regular IL spots over IL+ spots has any adavantage.

3. I just noticed Joe Kleine was a 40% 3pt shooter during his 1st stint with the Suns.

With yahoo's decline in recent years, would you consider moving to fantrax in 2026 offseason?
