No.
Chris Paul has no MVPs unless I missed it.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

CP3 has no case over Durant even if you remove the warriors years for Durant

I currently have a big gap. KD 18th and CP3 like 30th, IIRC.
But in the past I had CP3 much higher (like 22nd or something) and I may again in the future. (Also, KD is about to be passed by Giannis.)
I wouldn't think someone crazy who had CP3 higher. A bit unconventional, but definitely not wild.

I definitely have CP3 as a overall better True Point Guard over Steph Curry all time not including team success.
Curry is the greatest small shooting guard in NBA history
MJ greatest conventional Shooting Guard
Magic Greatest Point Guard
CP3 Greatest Small man Point Guard
Durant greatest Overall Scorer of all time
LeBron best overall player of all time
Durant is just too talented and a freak athlete to be worse than CP3

CP3 is the better player in his prime but his career is impacted by injuries. So there is a clear case for that

I don't know how one can make a comparison like this. It would be like comparing Karl Malone to Isiah Thomas. Completely different players playing different positions.

I think CP3 is a slightly better floor raiser but KD gives a higher ceiling to a team.
The main argument comes down to this: when kd has the time of possession that cp did, he didn’t look any better than cp. kd is the best ever at being destructive without the ball, but you kinda need a guy to have it more to win a title.

It isn't a crazy question, but I'd definitely put Durant higher personally.

Injuries and poor career choices, including going to GS depending on your viewpoint but definitely post GS, have really caused people to forget how awesome prime Durant was.

Of course. Chris Paul is ahead in Career RAPTOR WAR and Career VORP. If you give playoffs twice as much weight Chris Paul is still ahead. If you weigh the best season 100%, the next best season 95%, the third best season 90% then Chris Paul is still ahead

KD is overrated. Without his stint in Golden State, he’d have one Finals appearance in a career that’s spanned nearly two decades, a Finals he lost 4-1. He’s had Westbrook, Harden, Kyrie, Griffin etc as teammates over his career. He’s done the least with the most.

I haven't created a top 30 or memorized anyone else's but Giannis has to be ranked higher than KD because he won a CHIP as the unquestioned #1. He also has a MVP and DPOY. So Giannis is truly a "GOAT" level player on par with anyone outside of Jordan, Wilt, LeBron, and Kareem. IMO. KD constantly plays with great players and doesn't have a comensorate number of CHIPS. Dame is great but he doesn't play defense. Giannis and another great player like Devin Booker would be an automatic title IMO.

I don't see it, health matters too, and while KD has had his own injury issues, more big ones, Paul's constant limiting injuries at the wrong time impacts his ranking over other guys just as it impacted his career success.
Of course KD going to GSW and getting those championships helps him, and we don't know what might have happened if he didn't go there in terms of him winning, so we can only go off that.

You know you can make an almost identical statement with Chris Paul right?

Why is that an issue? We're not asking who'd fit better on a random team. But who's added more value in their career.

KD is not better off ball than Curry...or MJ or Miller.

Re: Does CP3 have any argument as being better than Durant all time?
Im not a huge fan of KD but he is above cp3 imo
Sidenote: I was more of a fan of Deron Williams during the cp3 vs D Will era, play style wise. That ended up being a big pie in the face moment for me .

Did you just try to say Rondo was better than CP, and with a straight face?
Playoff Rondo Is a thing case closed.

Re: Does CP3 have any argument as being better than Durant all time?
Of course he does!
Durant is obviously one of the best scorers in NBA history, but CP3 is a top 5 point guard of all-time and one of the best floor raisers we've seen. The dude instantly made his teams elite offensively, he raised the level of everyone defensively, and made everyone better. He was also insanely efficient.
You could plug prime CP3 in any team and they would instantly become a 45-50 win team even with a below average supporting cast.
Before CP3 joined the Hornets they sucked and then they instantly became a perennial playoff team.
Before CP3 joined the Clippers they sucked and then they instantly became a contender.
Before CP3 joined the Rockets they were not considered a legit playoff contender and then they became the biggest threat to the Warriors Super Team.
Before CP3 joined the Thunder they were a bottom feeder and then they instantly become a nearly 50 win team.
Before CP3 joined the Suns they sucked and then they instantly become a top team that made the finals.
Just remarkable.
