After watching the Olympics, the Knicks should sign Guerschon Yabusele for a 1 year contract. I've always liked his potential when he came into the league and now looks a lot better.

We have only one roster spot left and we need a center.

Idk - im not sold on Tobias Bridges.
Kinda worried we blew our resources on a role player.
The cost of that trade was a bit crazy. Plus I'm skeptical of how the starting five fits, assuming all three of OG, Mikal and Randle start. The FO needed to do something with this new CBA but I think Mikal's impact will be marginal. Maybe it's the small difference that makes us a Finals contender but that remains to be seen.

having a 6'6 elite wing defender that scores without needing the ball as our starting shooting guard should have more than a marginal impact. he's essentially option 3A to og's 3B. this is all besides the whole nova connection thing. just in terms of roster building, he's an incredible fit. everybody's job is easier now on both sides of the ball. and donte is free to run up blowout scores vs other team's benches

nothing makes me laugh more than people fooling themselves into depending on Mitch to play a full season.

Mitch - Tyson
Randle - Amare
Sims - Camby
Achiuwa - Kurt
Sims - Kenyon
Yabussele?! - Sheed
Anunoby - Melo
Bridges - Shumpert
Donte - JR Smith
Hart - Brewer
Dadiet - Copeland
McCullar - White
Brunson - Felton
Kolek - Kidd
Payne - Prigioni
McBride | Novak
a lot of similarities but the 2012-13 team has only 4 players better than the current roster, maybe just 2

Right because players that averaged 26 PPG and came in 2nd for DPOY can be expected to have " marginal" impact.Chanel Bomber wrote:Guano wrote:3toheadmelo wrote:i envision mikal having this type of role with us

Re: Trades and Transactions Thread Cont'd - Where the Center At?
I'm not sure where that quote actually came from regarding Randle, but this is what Ian actually said:
"Also on the injury front, we reported late last month that Julius Randle’s rehab from right shoulder surgery was going very well. Randle underwent surgery in early April. The Knicks at the time said Randle would be re-evaluated in September. Based on other timelines for shoulder surgery, it would be surprising if Randle were ready for the start of training camp. But if everything progresses well, he should be back on the court for the Knicks’ Oct. 22 season opener or soon thereafter."
I think he'll be ready for preseason, honestly. At least 1 or 2 games. One of the things that flew under the radar that Randle recently said was the months prior to the surgery, the strength training on that shoulder was said to speed up post operation recovery.
And Ian's comments on Mitch seems to specifically regard training camp and not preseason or the regular season. I think Mitch will be ready for both.

Was he hurt worse against the Sixers compared to the original injury? Maybe they are just being extra cautious.
