Flynn gets one year deal from the Spurs. If is guaranteed good on him. He showed flashes but knew there was no path behind Lowry-Fred and then the Dennis experiment. It confirmed he was a no QO end of development player.

In all fairness, we had to do Dennis because Flynn was awful. Dennis didn't block his path.

On another note Ainge has just given SVI 15m over 4 years and meanwhile Gary got 2 over 1. Is that insane or is that just Raptor world? Two ceiling topped out players but with vastly different handling by their agents. Gary better fire his and sign on with Svi's. SVI, Raptors salute you. Good work!

Ainge is becoming overrated. Not talking about Svi but the way he cares more about winning every deal than the big picture of his team.

They made a good decision betting on that Villanova core. Question will still be if they can overcome Thibs' regular season coaching to have enough in the tank to win it all.

I think the FO tried to make them so deep that Thibs will moderate the minutes, use 9-10 guys, keep people under 40 minutes. We'll see if he can change.

It's amazing someone in the front office can't sit down with him and get him to play more guys in the RS

its basically a 1 year deal with non guaranteed last 3 years.
its slightly over the minimum salary.
that being said, its a convoluted way of doing a signing needlessly.
