Again, minimum is around 3 Million. Nnaji will be making 7.5 Million. That's around twice as much as the minimum. You still living in 2020 with your 1.8 Million as the minimum.

SRP minimums are closer to 2M if the intent is to save money/duck the tax

Is it safe to assume the swap is unprotected, something like Minnesota did with the Spurs?

Orlando is looking to compete themselves and they have plenty of young guys they are already working on. I don't see them as a fit for Zeke.

Chicago feels like a better fit. I can't imagine they see Ayo as a serious part of the core.

Zeke + Holmes for Ayo + Craig.

Chicago gets a solid prospect up front, Denver gets a really solid 2g replacement and a familiar vet who can eat a few minutes on the bench.

I think Zeke/Holmes package is neutral value at best

Holmes/Zeke for Craig is closer to fair

I think people are making Zeke's contract seem much worse than it is. He's currently a little over 5% of the cap, and that number should scale down as the time goes on. He's 23 years old and showed he could stretch the floor his first 2 years and potentially be a shot blocker. Not saying he's super exciting, but teams could do worse than trying to develop him. Big men always take more time.

For a team like Chicago that has nothing exciting up front, and is handcuffed with LaVine. I'd take the risk.

32M guaranteed for someone who is probably a two way/min level player is pretty negative.

Zeke's number does scale down. Not only because the cap is rising, but his cap number decreases over the first 2 years of the deal.

He's still about 20-25M overpaid over 4 years which cost at least a swap to dump (value wise i have no trouble with OP)

The Magic should not help Denver get any better this year since they own the Denver 25 1st. If anything, the Magic signing KCP is an underrated move to make the pick better (while adding a piece that will fit the D).

*Disclaimer - Not saying that's why the Magic did it, but in reading this thread the thought crossed my mind.
