The Los Angeles Lakers will appear in 39 nationally televised games next season, the most of any team in the NBA.

The Warriors are in second place with 36 appearances on national TV.

The top five is rounded out with a tie between the Celtics and the Knicks at 34 appearances, then the Mavs and Suns with 30 appearances.

The complete schedule for the 2024-25 season was unveiled on Thursday. National TV games include all games broadcasted on ESPN, TNT, ABC, and NBA TV.

the most "popular" team with the most popular player. Makes sense. NBA is a business... if you wanna watch the hornets get league pass.

Shame. The Lakers do have the most popular player possibly of all time rostered plus another star in the largest media market in the country so I get it but it's a shame. Some of us would rather watch just about anyone than the Lakers and in general, the Lakers are one of most despised teams out there. I'm wanting to say the Pacers got 5 nationally televised games (which is likely an improvement actually) and they are infinitely more fun to watch than the Lakers. I'm sure other teams got even less than 5. It sure would be nice to spread it out a bit better.

GSW are 2nd with 36. LAL and GSW were in the bottom half of the West last season. It's clearly not about team quality.

(IND got 14... but point taken.)

Real egg and chicken here, most watched because most televised or reversed? Personally I'm tired of lebrons lakers but the media loves them.
