You need at least 4 guys on the floor who the defense has to account for. 5 is obviously ideal, but 4 is sufficient. If he's around 31% from 3, that's really not good enough as the PF
In terms of stats, it's gonna be 3pt% and a:to ratio. I think he needs to hit at least 35% from 3 and have a 2:1 a:to ratio to be a good fit at the 4. Also needs to give consistent effort on defense, but that's an eye test thing, not a statistical thing.
I think he could get to that, he was shooting 37% from 3 in 12 games in January post OG trade before he got injured and overall percentage was weighed down a lot by the slow start to the season coming off the surgery, but the percentage is attainable
But now he is coming off shoulder surgery so that could also impact the shot, so I guess we will see
Meanwhile towns is arguably the best shooting big in nba history so we can’t go wrong there if they do bring him in as has been speculated
