Jeff Bezos has no interest in buying the Boston Celtics, reports Nick Wingfield of The Information. Wingfield is a longtime reporter who has extensively covered Amazon.
The Ringer's Bill Simmons shared a rumor on a recent podcast that Bezos had interest in purchasing the Celtics. "Zero truth" to the rumor said one person close to Bezos.
The Grousbeck family recently put the Celtics up for sale. Simmons also said the NBA is hoping the sale of the Celtics helps establish an expansion franchise fee. Bezos previously had interest in purchasing the NFL's Washington Commanders.
