Relax on the lack of Wilt push, there is an option for other which has 7 votes (probably has some Bird and Shaq votes in there too).

Jordan prime played in a league that had 10% more possessions than LeBron during same age.

If you scale them to 100 possessions. From entering the league to first retirement, Jordan compared to LeBron put in 3 more points per 100 but made 2 less assists per 100. Jordan got an extra 1 steal per 100. They both had similar Blks, TOs and TS%.

Their output is honestly very similar. LeBron played more total minutes though, both in RS and playoffs.

I think it’s smart to consider pace when comparing eras. I agree, the pace in 80’s and early 90’s is way higher than late 90’s and 00’s. There are lots of factors when comparing different eras. They really are similar players in greatness. That 2011 Finals would have been the difference for me and probably a lot of people. Jordan set a high bar. A stretch of 10 scoring titles where he had 2 3peats is a crazy looking accomplishment. Then you factor in that he was only outscored in a playoff series in his rookie season. Being a young fan in the 90’s, that 2nd 3peat was aggravating. I was so sick of watching buddy win

Yeah the 2011 finals hurts LeBron legacy the most but people really seem to forget what happened.

Dallas had a strategy similar to the wall for Giannis and by closing off the paint the Heat struggles. It wasn't just LeBron, Bosh was by far the worst (he had a TS% of 49%). Heat had no perimeter shooters and LeBron was shooting poorly, which resulted in him deferring to Wade who was shooting well. LeBron struggles at FT made him less aggressive for drives also.

It was still a series that Heat could have won by a sweep over Dallas with a couple bounces going the other way.

RGM skews to boomers/gen-x/early millennials. It's really not going to change here; we are set in our ways. I'd be interested to see what the younger millennials and gen-z think on this topic, as they'll start to become the dominant voice on this debate within a decade.

Ultimately though it has no bearing on who in fact is the GOAT. The Realgm majority opinion of Jordan=GOAT does not mean Jordan is indeed the GOA, and if that shifts to LeBron in 10-20 years it doesn't mean LeBron is the GOAT.

OP, can you change the poll to include Wilt? I think it's disrespectful to leave him off. The guy 100% deserves to be on the list. If you simply change the last poll selection to Wilt, it won't change any of the other votes.
