Hey guys, are you making a spreadsheet of this as you go like I have for the original?

If so, I'd request you share it publicly, which will be good for this project, and make it really easy to compare the two, which may allow us to notice shifts more easily.

Hey Doc, I've been keeping tracking in an excel sheet because I find it easier to work with but I've imported it into sheets as well so it can be shared.

It doesn't have tabs for the votes per year though, just for the shares. I've also only done the POY Shares for 2015-24 as the OPOY and DPOY shares are already visible for that period. I did add columns for how many years they received votes as well as the amount of times they won the respective awards. The 2015-24 and Full POY Shares tabs will be temporary until the end of the project when these votes will be combined with our new 1950-2014 Shares.

Glad you're doing this and I think it looks solid in its structure!

I will say, I know it's more work, but I think you'll want to have vote tallies by place per year when all is said and done too.

I understand if people tell me to take a hike, but can I join the project starting in 1979-1980? I feel like the choices beforehand are more straightforward, and my knowledge of the game is concentrated afterwards.

I would encourage you to participate in discussions beforehand to the best of your ability, even if you do not submit an official ballot; if you are willing to do that, then sure, I have no objections to you waiting to submit official ballots until 1980.

I would like the opportunity to join and vote on this project!

Looks like Schayes will beat Kobe in POY shares. Sorry general boarders.

Finally starting feeling comfortable enough with my reading, video watching, etc. to make some judgements in the 59 thread. I avoided the first one of these completely, was reasonably active in the second, will try to focus on being active in this one.

Just wanted to say I haven't quit the project. Just really busy right now.

Cheers!

Hey, Narigo, I will count the vote under the assumption this is a gesture at you wanting to be part of the project, but by rights you should be expressing interest in the project here first before voting. Thanks.

Hello,

I'll still probably stay out of the project for a bit, but may I please declare my intentions to participate down the track?

I'll need a promise to vote AK '04 to give my thumbs up.

Noted. Would appreciate if you could try to generally participate when you can, even if it is not as a vote, but I look forward to your future participation either way.

Hey all, is it still possible for me to join the project? Getting hammered with work so may just watch the discussions and have to stay out for a bit near-term.

Yep, just try to participate when you can, even if it is not to vote.

As the strongest grainer of this current era, I think I shall enjoy partaking in the ranking of special grade hoopers.

Added. Please be sure to review the rules and keep in mind I do expect some level of regular interaction (even if that does not necessarily mean voting).

For everyone else debating whether to join, please note that I will be restricting open entry in a week and after that will only accept new entries with reasonably good cause (e.g. long history of activity in similar forum projects), with the point being to make sure the voting bloc is here because of commitment to the project itself rather than because of an isolated interest in specific players or eras.

Going to have some more time going forward—is it possible to join as a voter?
