We're one of the most poorly run organizations in the league on the non-basketball side of things. Just **** bush league.

Based on what? We The North was wildly successful. It's 10-ish years old at this point but that's beside the point. Execution post-COVID has been less than ideal though. But I think that goes for pretty much all facets of the org. They won the ship, hit COVID, played in Tampa and lost their way a bit.

And a full rebrand makes little sense right now. A rebrand with a mid to bad team is a terrible idea and would fall flat without a mildly successful team to back it up.
Couldn't disagree more. People aren't stupid. This is the new era of Raptors basketball. Don't half measure. That's what lead us here in the first place

This is probably going to be just an Anniversary, but let's hope it will lead to the rebrand for next years offseason.

This is what the Mantra should be for the Raptors Designers. Utah Jazz' Governor said this about their Rebranding:"Our branding will always be an iterative process as we, our fanbase, and the game of basketball continue to grow," said Ryan Smith, governor of the Utah Jazz. "It’s clear that Mountain Basketball and purple are at the soul of Utah and the Jazz, and we’re excited to share with our community what they have to look forward to.” "Working closely with Doubleday & Cartwright – a highly acclaimed creative consultancy and design studio – the Jazz developed this iteration of Mountain Basketball by studying Utah’s passion for the sport and how the mountains both influence its identity and symbolize a state on the rise – one that features a top economy and growing population, an in-demand outdoor lifestyle, and a developing reputation as a sports and entertainment powerhouse."

I doubt the raptors ever hired a product designing agency. And if so, it did a bad job for the last...... 20 years. The last 5 years were brutal. Just awful and gross.

Come on now. People should stick to discussing things they’re knowledgeable about.

Do you really think a top-tier, multi billion dollar sports franchise wouldn’t have an advertising, marketing and design agency on retainer? Dude….

I believe Sid Lee was the agency that masterfully handled the We The North rebrand. I don’t know who is working with them now but I promise you they’re top tier and world renowned.

As much as I want a rebrand to happen asap, you can’t overload the market with vintage stuff in the same year as a new look. It’s too much. It makes total sense to use this transition year to celebrate the past. People will load up on those purple jerseys. Then once you gauge how this year goes (organic growth vs full on tank and a high pick to market), and focus on rolling out the rebrand next year when you have better clarity on how to sell it.
