Lol the defense wasn't any better under doc. I'd have us at 51 wins probably but 49 isn't crazy.

Horst & Doc, please, we have two first-ballot Hall of Famers and two more really good players lining up beside them. Fix this travesty!

We were right behind the Celtic for best record before that with one of the worst defenses under Griffen. This team wins 55-60 games this year and is right there for best record I guarantee it!
I agree i think this is a easy 60 win team if healthy.Their roster is improved doc has a whole off season n tc to install his system hell think last year they win mid 50s if the big 3 played more than 13 games together

I think if the Bucks are treading water as a middle seed by the trade deadline we're going to see a major move or two. No way they go into the playoffs not living up to the talent on the roster.
Do you mean like a rebuild sort of move? If we're treading water, I'm not sure there will be any deals out there to improve the roster this season. Its probably the same issue we ran into this off-season.
Not a rebuild, but using Dame, Lopez, and/or Mids to find pieces that may work better around Giannis.
No contending team in the world would trade Dame. That's a blow it up rebuild. There's way too much talent in the East. I can defend trading KM, BP and Lopez, despite their talent, as a style change -- going for more of a hustle team around our Dynamic Duo.. also, any loss of offensive on-ball skill we lose from trading them can easily be absorbed by higher usage by Dame and GA.. honestly, sharing the ball so much with them probably fcks their rhythm up anyways. So the defense and hustle is more valuable.

Do you think those good regular season numbers will carry on during playoffs ?
I think not.
I can't argue these RS lineup good numbers, on the other hand you can't argue Brook & Khris are the slowest NBA guys in the same lineup.
East Teams are loaded with talent and athleticism, Brook & Khris need to get a lesser role so they can be effective. Unfortunately Horst signed Pasecniks who is similar to Brook SLOW, and he left a huge gap at the 4. We don't have an athletic 6'9-6'11 guy, as much as I like Tyler Smith, my first impressions is that he is soft on D, with a bad motor to grab boards.
Anyway, don't mind me. I am talking unfiltered out of my love for winning too.
Sure we got our chances to win it all. Go Bucks

a couple weeks ago i was in the mindset that we would be starting the season in no time.. now it feels like it's going to be an eternity.
the disrespect in the media is outrageous. i can't wait to watch them all flip.

Some often talk about players we need to add but curious if anyone has on views if there’s and addition by subtraction move we could make on this roster?
I love Brolo and what he’s done for this team but wonder if it’s time for Giannis to make his Duncan move to centre for example.

Removing one of Bobby or Brook.

I'm not for trading Dame (yet), but he has to become a more efficient scorer. He kills too many possessions when he isn't getting a whistle.
Removing FTs, he finished in the bottom 10% in Pts per Shot (1.01) out of the top 100 scorers last season. He's never been incredibly efficient from the floor, but he was far better coming out of the Bubble than he was last year.
For context, Giannis finished last season in the top 5% of the top 100 scorers at 1.25 pts per shot. The most efficient shooting season of his career.

Think alot of that was the shape dame was in last year n where his head was at.This year if you see pixs of him ge looks like a physical freak compared to last year.I think this board n the NBA at a whole will see a much much different dame this year.He vowed this will be his best year hes extremely driven n pissed off at how he performed last year.Hes a dude with alot of pride.Wouldnt surprise me to see him at 30/8/7 this year

Efficiency is efficiency. Dame's 2PT (49%) and eFG (51%) were right at his career averages, and he was still drawing shooting fouls at the 2nd highest rate of his career, even with the new continuation rules nerfing the foul-baiting stuff. It's his dip in 3PT volume (8.7 per-36) and efficiency (35%) that caused the slight efficiency drop compared to last season. For all this stuff about his age and him "breaking down", there sure isn't much evidence of it. Dude still looked plenty quick off the dribble from the eye test.

I don't doubt his potential to put up those raw numbers, but I'm talking about his efficiency, which is severely dragged down by his 2-pt shooting.
Dame is a far better 3-pt shooter than he is 2-pt, and it's not even close. Career averages he's 111.3 points on 100 3-point shots vs 87.6 pts on 2-pt shots. That's an almost 24-point differential on him taking 100 3s vs 100 2s.
If him being stronger means he's able to finish at the rim better, then great, problem solved. But if I'm Doc, I'm figuring out ways to get him 10+ 3PAs per game. A decrease in 3P% should be expected with an increase in attempts, but the decrease would need to be almost 10% for him to match his lowly 2P efficiency.

My numbers are off here as I'm looking at his FG%, not 2 pt FG% only. Ignore these numbers.

You're right. I was looking at his FG% for 2pt attempts only for some reason so my numbers are off. Based on his true 49% average, he's still a better 3 pt shooter but its not as drastic as I made it seem.
