If the Jays sweep the Twins this weekend to get 4.5 back, are they WS bound?

Yes.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

Guerrero hit it to the wrong part of the field.

Bowden Franchise continues to impress. These past five starts have been spectacular.
I get why they pulled him after seven, but man, he was rocking.

Now I know the opposing teams Francis has faced have been terrible so I guess we should still be skeptical (though Cubs & Red Sox are .500ish and are playing for something)
Minor technicality but Francis no longer qualifies as a rookie... although for practical purposes he is pretty much in his rookie season.
Had 20 games and 37 innings experience before this year, and lost his "rookie" status in 2023.

I’ll admit I had basically written the season off and haven’t been paying much attention. So, the question is, am I duty-bound as a fan to continue to not pay attention so long as they are playing this well?

No. Not at all.
I’ve operated guilt-free all year. Zero devotion - and the post quality on this site went way up!
Only tune in to monitor Francis, Loperfido, and Wagner…. If you’re interested in 2026.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?
