Eagles Lead Up - Friday, 7:15PM CST, Peacock

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Sun Sep 1, 2024 11:42 pm

I can't believe we're five days away from the season opener.

Game is in São Paulo, Brazil at Arena Corinthians, the home of, you guessed it, S.C. Corinthians, a well-respected Brazilian futebol club. Corinthians once fielded world-renowned players like late-stage Ronaldo Nazario, Carlos Tevez, and Socrates. Yes, you read that right, they had a player named Socrates, who happened to be an all-time great Brazilian midfielder, surely outshining anyone else who happened to share that same name.

Temps are currently projected to be quite mild at kickoff (mid 60s F), which is set for 9:15PM local time (7:15PM CST).

Game is going to be on Peacock. Plan accordingly.

Go Pack Go.

Great for all of us outside Milwaukee and Green Bay without Peacock.

Nothing but a money grab.

Eagles started great last year, then imploded. Lots of pressure on them. They added some good talent. Tough game.

Yeah, I hope the team has beefed up their security. The interwebs are littered with gang hit and armed motorcycle robbery videos from Brazil.

I can give you my peacock if you can't get the free trial for signing up if its burning that much of a hole in your wallet.

I'm expecting both teams to look fairly rusty. We barely played our starters & Philly didn't play their starters at all. Philly is putting in two new coordinators & we have a new defensive coordinator. On top of that Philly might be the hardest individual team to predict imo and the travel to Brazil throws another wrench into the game. I could truly see this matchup going any which way

Yeah week one is hard to predict and also can be a bad predictor of how the season will play out. Just a flukey week in general as guys shake off the off-season rust.

At this point it seems like Lloyd is the only player who will miss the game due to injury

Philly players are whining about having to travel to São Paulo. I don't think they'll have great vibes going into this one. They'll want to finish the game and get out. If we punch them early on they might just quit.

In fairness I don't think any of the players are thrilled about playing this game

I think it's more palatable for the Packers since they are going here instead of Philly.

Can't wait to see what big injuries happen to key players because the NFL forces teams to play on absolute **** fields that are designed for Futbol (not Football).

I'm the perfect target demo, I get peacock to watch like 1 game then forget I have it and pay for like 3 months. Happens every time.

I have a couple friends who go to all these international games and it was a hard pass on Brazil. they aren't the type that is closed minded but just a tough trip between the weird flights and times plus dealing with where you can and can't go in a country where you immediately stand out.
